Escarpment Trail with Sprinkles in the Catskills NY

The Escarpment Trail Traverse. The standard traverse crosses over two Catskill 3500 peaks including Wyndham & Blackhead but for our hike we do an out and back with Black Dome and Thomas Cole to grab 4 Catskill 35 Peaks on this hike. This brought this day hike to 30 Miles and 7000 feet of climbing.

Yeahhhhh hiking in the dark....I missed a group hike at the escarpment...22 miles..I was bummed. Great views in the cats. Best to do that in the spring to stay hydrated better. Well done brian.

Is it really that green and leafy in the Catskills this early in the season? Or did you do this hike last summer?

This is May 28 of 2022. I posted it when it happened, but I didn’t like it so deleted it, but I decided to just post it again and stop being such an anal person. I had the camera on the wrong settings and everything was very bright and washed out and I couldn’t handle it lol
