Worked at a professional landscaping company for a year as one of the weedeater guys. The way you can edge corners so effortlessly like that is satisfying to watch. I used to blow through so much string on accident.
Not only are you doing something charitable for people who need the help, you have also taught me how to care for a lawn. I had no idea about some of the machinery and that lawns can be fixed up like this before
You are so kind to do this for these people it is amazing to watch. You are a hard worker, please consider wearing a mask and safety goggles for your eyes. I love how by the 34:00 min mark the next door neighbor came out to watch him. Guaranteed he probably asked for a business card after seeing the before and after. This is how you do business. When you help someone out, you'll get blessed in return. Great stuff
I was thinking the same thing about the neighbor being grateful, as Spencer was on that backyard area and I saw the neighbor’s yard that was groomed very nicely. I bet they breathed a sigh of relief!!! 😅
@@marysharp-koehler8605 No doubt. Where I live, it's almost every other lawn that looks like hell. I take pride in my property and it's a shame so many don't. Home owner's associations usually keep people from letting their yards go like that but unfortunately, I don't have one where I live.
Matthew 6:1-4 New Living Translation 1 “Watch out! Looks like a different house! Very cool that you put zero judgement on the homeowner in your videos. Never know what might be going on in a person's life.
Exactly! I get a ton of negative comments towards the homeowner and I know for a fact that the lawn is one of the first things that gets put on the back burner when things come up in life
Pretty pathetic judging a person for not caring about a lawn (an aesthetic brought about by lords showing off how rich they were to the plebs) which is the only one doing anything positive for the environment.
This could literally be my parent’s house. On a corner lot, two cypress trees growing by the door, it’s even the same color. My father was so proud of how he kept up the yard. He died two months ago, and finding this video was sure bittersweet. ❤️

Have you ever gone back to see if a new found pride has made any of the home owners continue to maintain their yards ? Many years (decades) ago, I had a severely overgrown back yard. My neglect had become an embarassment. One day, I tore up all the weeds (well over 6 ft tall in some areas) and laid new sod. It was such an amazing transformation that keeping it maintained became a passionate hobby, and I eventually planted flower gardens, hedges, shrubs and trees in the coming years. I went from walking past my yard every day, to spending most of my summer free-time in it (It is buried under snow for 5-6 months of the year so summer is all I've got). I was curious if this is an effect that your efforts have caused with some of the folks you've helped. Others have said it before... I bet the neighbours love you even more than the homeowners.
Amazing job Spencer! Thanks for doing this work for people that can’t do it themselves. I never thought watching someone mow grass could be so interesting. I’m amazed at the outstanding job you do!!!
Food banks are a great place to start. Habitat for humanity also rocks. Im 61 and I remember every single bit of volunteer work I have done with pleasure. I don't remember most of the video games I played. You help others but you also build a lot of self worth, internal joy, and that's priceless .
People that can’t take care of their yards shouldn’t own houses. Their homes harbor pests, bring down property values in the neighborhood, but the worst part is it makes the neighborhood an unpleasant place to live. I moved into a nice neighborhood when I bought my first home, where everyone took care of their property l. Then, I had a neighbor move in that didn’t take care of his yard. He got rats, that spread to their yards, snakes, bugs which made sitting outside unpleasant, and it was so unsightly. Everyone ended up hating that guy after a while, and no one was nice to him anymore. We all at some point helped the guy out, but he totally took advantage of everyone and expected them to do it. The guy would go out walking for hours every day, but he couldn’t walk behind a lawn mower for 30 minutes once a week. People that do not tend to their properties are losers, and all the neighbors hate them.
This was truly a jaw-dropping project, wow. For one person, that was a ton of work and the transformation is beautiful !! Thank you for all that you do, this truly was an awesome job you did on this piece of property. Hopefully now that it's manageable the homeowner will think of hiring you in the future. Great job, and that's an understatement !!
I couldn't agree more. Excellent work and what a relief to the homeowner who was probably overwhelmed with the prospect of dealing with the yard. Bravo SB for your heart and dedication.

@@TheAstroflight exactly. I lost my spouse to cancer and just couldn’t get myself outside to mess with the yard. Instead of coming over, the neighbors called the county and I was given ten days to do everything. The anger fed my energy as I mowed everything: all the flowers, roses, vegetables, etc. I cut all the trees down too. Left all bare dirt except the very short mowed grass and blew All the clippings onto the neighbor’s yards. I’m still mad. We haven’t spoken since. So you’re right, you never know what’s going on.

How did this guy live with trees growing on his porches to that extent? The lawn maybe, but those trees! You did a massive and 👍 job 👏 on his property!!!
The trees at the front porch were decorative, but they have outgrown their purposed life and need to be completely removed as some of the bushes in the back. If I had this house, I would remove all of the plantings and start new. Remove them all at once but replant little by little because of the cost.

You did such a good job on the driveway, and then I saw you start on a second driveway!! I am curious to see where this Landscape Archeology is going to head. (Nice work covering the street sign.) As with any big job, it seems to help to "finish" small areas at a time, building a sense of progress. So far, you further got the property line edged, refound and redefined two entrances.

The homeowner obviously doesn't care or it wouldn't look that way so its 100% a gift to the neighborhood.

@@jamaliadai4561 Rent a gas powered string trimmer for a day. Tell them to put the thickest line on it before you pick it up. Once it's cut down then it can be mowed.
Watching videos like this feels like therapy without having to talk.
WOW!!!! I am inspired by this young man!!!! I would hire him to do our landscaping and lawn care in a second! This was A LOT of work, A LOT… and he just kept at it, with a smile! What an amazing human being… ( that must drink a lot of energy drinks!😂)!!! We could all learn something from his determination, and generosity!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It's like He has a Majic Wand !!!
No matter how much he gets paid or how much he has in the bank. He deserves it He’s a hard worker. 💪
That edging was unbelievable! Hats off to you.
Dude, you and people like you are inspirations. Thank you.
Something very therapeutic about watching you transform people’s yards for free. Reminds me of when I was young and able to work at something like this all day (now…maybe only 2-to-3 hours!). Wonderful job and great service to your community! 👍🏼👍🏼
I’m young and still struggle working this kinda work all day 😂
All amazing!! What a wonderful thing you do. It is beyond just mowing the grass. It's the whole treatment! You have an awesome heart!
There's something so cathartic about watching the transformation of these yards. The fact that you do this for free is incredibly kind. I don't know you, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all you do for these people. We're all proud of the man you are.
This was a great job. Punches up my motivation a notch to get out there and work on my own. Getting trickier each year (at 68). Thanks for helping others!
Your act of kindness brought me joy… it’s refreshing to know there are still good, selfless people in the world who are willing to help others and expect nothing in return 👏🏼… bravo!!
I love watching your videos! Something about watching you transform a yard that needs a lot of work into something beautiful. But most of all is the fact that you help people that are in need. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
What an amazing transformation! The edging, weed eating, pruning of the trees was awesome. This was a great video and I will have to watch it again. Great job!!!
Thanks for watching!
not that your video is too long, but watching this in 2x speed is even more satisfying lol as someone who HATES yard work, you're the man. Not only are the homeowners appreciative, I'm guessing the community is as well. Your channel is great for showing people that having a strong work ethic and caring for your community isn't a thing of the past. Keep up the awesome work
Lol same i put it 2x speed xD 🤣
If someone did this for me I would feel so incredibly blessed. It's beautiful that you do this 💚I wish there was one of you in my neighborhood in the UK
Same, especially for my front lawn, it's sloped so I practically have to strim it only, the terrain makes it hard to get my lawnmower up that hill/sloping garden.
