Hi Deb! Another great vid. I’ve used Mobile RV tech several different times on several different RVs and each time I’ve been extremely lucky not to have had any issues like this. That said your experience has given me some great insights for future repairs.

Most of the time they are good! Unfortunately, this guy decided money was more important.

Great public service announcement for key things to screen when looking for a tech. I'm glad everything worked out (thanks to you, and your training!❤

I found that when a tech starts bragging about how much experience and how good they are that they are probably not the one you need. That’s when you need to find another one.

I find the younger generation of workers to be the biggest liars of experience on anything. I can't tell you the amount of times I've come in contact with liars of experience from the younger generations. They have no problem taking your money and challenging you when they know they're caught. There is no honor and no shame or guilt. Just thieves and liars. Let the buyer beware, is definitely fitting for these days.

A dealer told me his 'techs" had over 35 years experience and the unit I was thinking of buying was in great condition, the NRVTA inspector I hired found so many "Major" issues that we did not purchase the unit. My inspector DID NOT have 35 years experience...lol, but he had ethics and was very honest about what he could and could not do, money well spent. My last inspector had experience with the type of unit we wanted and did an excellent inspection, of course we won't mention any names here, but she er-r-r they did a great job!

Haha! Thank you Daddie Longlegs! I’m very happy you found such great inspectors! Ethics is very important and much appreciated these days!

Good video Deb but sad for your Dad. Not to rub salt in the wound, but I’m curious about why your Dad had the same guy come back in June when he saw the issue hadn’t been fixed before he stored it. I wouldn’t have paid that guy a dime. All of your advice is very helpful.

He didn’t know it was still leaking until he took it back out in June. Then we were trying to get him to repair what wasn’t fixed but he wasn’t willing to honor any type of warranty.

Sounds like you have a good case for small claims court. The tech lied about his experience and definitely made a mess. You have all the evidence to support the above.

Yes and that was a road my Dad decided not to go down because it was too stressful for him. It was definitely a good case for it though.
