Very nice! Thank you for posting. Would like to see similar in the T-6. I've watched the USN training films from 1953, but it would be nice to see it from your viewpoint.

do you need slightly more power since right rudder and left aileron basically puts you into a slip?

It would be negligible. If you need more power at that moment it’s probably due to a handful of other factors such as changing winds or just ending up slightly low.

You shouldn’t ever confuse the Cherokee versus the Cessna 172. It’s two different airplanes.

I'm using a CH Products Fighterstick. I have a Saitek Cessna yoke but I just can't stand to use it over a quality stick. I haven't tried the CH yoke yet, but I know it still won't give me the precision of the stick. I like using the yoke for larger aircraft like the B17, 737, ect because they're not as twitchy as a 172 or Cherokee. Aside from the yoke/stick, I'm using Saitek Cessna rudder pedals, saitek throttle quadrant, and saitek cessna trim wheel. The pedals and trim wheel are amazing. The throttle quadrant is good but I've heard the CH one is better.
