The SHORTEST Runway I've EVER Used | Short Field Takeoff

This week, I go and pick up a beautiful Piper Archer II from Umatilla Airport and take it to Leesburg to pick up some passengers.
The reason for this is because, due to construction at Umatilla Airport, the runway has been shortened to just 1,850ft so adding passengers here would make things quite dangerous! At this current length, this makes Umatilla Airport the shortest runway I've ever used.

the flying alone videos are more peaceful. but the flying with pax videos are more comedic. both are great

Love flying videos! Did over 8 hours night flying over the weekend. Went to Exec and picked up Nick who used to work at DnJ aviation and we pounded hours as he is only a few hundred away from the airlines and needed night hours. I don't know if night videos will do good on the channel but I'd love to see some!

Gareth be honest when you heard tower immediately telling folk to change frequency and that chap responded to change frequency already on frequency did you have a hmmm do I do a 180 moment.

You fly several different types, C182, C172 and PA-28's. Do you find it difficult with the different procedures (constant speed, fuel pump, different V-speeds etc.) or do you have some generic procedures like GUMPs etc. that you use across the different planes?
Not so much. I just make sure I go through the relevant checklists in flight and on the ground. A lot of that is cut out of the videos.
@@ZeroThreeDelta That's a shame, It's one of the great things of youtube aviation, to learn from other pilots' procedures etc. (and the occasional laugh of course) :-) Put the procedures back in then? :-)
