I do like the E-ray but I can't justify $25k to $40k more for a C8. I personally would never pay over $100k for a car. I essentially daily drive my C8 and have taken several road trips which accounts for the mileage. I did not acquire this car to be a garage queen. She's a driver. The Michelin run-flats still have more than half the tread left on the tires. Just changed the oil for the 3rd time which I did myself. Issues: Had 2 flats in the rear. One in a stock tire after hitting construction debris (had it plugged and patched at Chevy dealer), and another in one of the after market all-season tires after driving over a 3" bolt that stuck in the sidewall which had to be replaced. The runflats (while not as smooth as non-runflats) saved my ass both times. I was able to drive 5 miles and 9 miles, respectively, back home at about 30 mph. The other issue was a snapped cable that operates the hardtop convertible which Chevy quickly replaced under warranty. My Chevy dealer did first 2 oil changes (3,700 and 10,500 miles) and the DCT filter replacement (7,600 miles) for free. Had 2 four wheel alignments. Overall I'm extremely satisficed with my C8.

The only issue so far is was a cable snapped that lifts the rear hatch for the hard top convertible. The dealer quickly replaced it under warranty. I hope the engine and DCT remain trouble free.
just a little bit of info for ya, if you ever pulled over an cop asks if you had it in track mode say no bc in cali legally they can make you send it to a dealer an have it removed on your dime if caught. Just be safe out there Erick!

C8 is totally doable as a daily. The only issue I have is trying to open the door completely with a vehicle parked next to it. The C8 doors are very long and it seems people love to park right next to your car even if you park away from others.
They are called “paddle shifters”. Right one shifts the transmission up one gear at a time and left one shifts down one gear at a time, like a manual transmission.
Looked at a new C8 today. Think I will keep my C7 2LZ. as I like its classic long nose and throaty sound when accelerating. 0 - 60 in under three seconds is plenty fast for me.
