I agree , that body still looks slick in 2023. It’s a shame Saab had to close their doors. Would have loved to see what a 93 Turbo or Viggen looked and performed like today
Very true. Some cars werenjust perfectly styled. I think of the mk3 supra, Land Rover LR4 and these as timeless designs. The Turbo X is my dream car and I'm still looking for one to own and i won't give up.

I bought one new in 2008 with six speed manual and it still looks and drives as new and is as comfortable. It's been essentially trouble free. Needed a new clutch last year and the usual maintenance though recently the steering wheel lock module went bad and I had to have the car flat bedded because the steering wheel was locked. I have a great Saab mechanic in Brooklyn and so far have been able to get all needed parts. Nothing has gone wrong in the big picture! My first Saab was a 1972 96 costing $2737 new. I've driven nothing but Saabs ever since. I kept that one until 2000 (of course had newer Saabs along the way). I visited the factory as Saab rolled out the new 9-5 and got to ride in an electric car they were developing. I even got to see the paint department where even dealers weren't taken---I have some friends--- it's been a fantastic 50+ year ride! Sad Saab is gone..... really nice video. Thanks. But that honeycomb grille and some other things aren't stock!

Beautiful video sir. First of all Id like to say that Saab was my very first car. I remember my first day when I purchased it and since then I never stopped loving the car. I love the fact that there are so few left on the streets. I feel so special driving it . When I meet some other saab driver and we wave to each other,it always makes me smile and I have happy mood. The car never failed me. I maptuned the vehicle as well so for saab,it goes very fast. I dont want to do it............. Unfortunately, adult life and growing up -> I had to focus on different things then running around the car and taking care of it and 2 weeks ago the engine broke down on the road. It is right now under service but I still dont know the cost of repair. It can be total K.O. of engine aka huge investment. I failed the car and hate myself for it but I have decision to make anyway. Do I keep or sell? I know I can save money for example for Audi A7 which I like as well. Its modern, easier to drive, basically everything is better but Its not Saab. I know I wont feel that special anymore and we wont have that bond together. In case I keep it, I decided to do complete revision of everything so I give to the car what it needs and buy everything new which means that maybe I wont spend the same amount as like I would buy Audi A7 but It wont be cheap as well. Basically I want to go all in in both cases but I have to choose which one I want. Buying new or completely renovate the old? Is it still worth it to invest into Saab? I love it to death but if it will be damaged every 2 years its a bad investment. I dont know....Any opinion will help I guess..Do you miss your Saab if you sold already?
Appreciate the comment and praise! That’s a tough situation man, if you’re somehow able to do both or rebuild in full, that would be amazing but maybe not the most practical. I was very big into a multi year Volvo project that I ended up having to part with and just told myself that once it becomes feasible, I’ll go back to another one of the same cars and do it even better the next time around! Maybe that would be an option for you as well! Cheers!
Well, it looks like Saab is on it's way back actually... (they have to use a different name though). The Emily GT will likely be built after all.
