    Flew "Littlest Stik" with .010 and .020 back when. Ace rudder only, pulse propo.

      Cool! I have a Littlest Stik built from the plans running a TD .020. They fly great! Mine has modern radio gear with 2 channels, though. 😀 The one in this video is quite a bit smaller, spanning 15” and weighs under 3.7oz.

      I have a littlest stik!! Rudder only with the .10. It’s a escapement setup. It was my grandfathers. It’s now on the ceiling in the shop with about 15 other. Rare Birds I don’t fly anymore. Even got a ranger42.

    *I used to make my own fuel with 93% methanol 6.9% Klotz Oil (Red Oil) and 0.1% nitro glycerin. A friend made the nitro glycerin in small batches and when diluted in alcohol is very Very Stable.*

      Too many projects going. Not enough time to go back and revisit that one right now. Get some builds behind you and it won’t be hard to start making up your own stuff.

I Think it wont be hard to get it close to yours...and maybe i come up with a sharky zaunkönig...or some sharky like micro plane...u should know that u where the guy wich is guilty vor getting me involved into Balsa builds,and cox engines!!!....but it would be nice, like i said before.....if you may have some time to Draw a Plan in the Future . I enjoy running, flying, and maintaining these little engines but don’t really know the performance specs. If you were to join the Cox Enfibe Forum online, the guys there are a wealth of information about them.

    My 049 is really tight at tdc... the piston is locked and the crank can move slightly . Any ideas? Excellent video man! Love to see more cox videos :)

    • @TeeBeeZee
      @TeeBeeZee  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try oiling the piston/cylinder. Then heat it in the oven at about 350F for a while and try to carefully loosen it up. It’s common for them to seize up with congealed castor oil after sitting for long periods. Heat is your friend to get them loosened. I like to use Aero Kroil oil for this.

      Remove glow head with proper wrench, insert some glow fuel or acetone, should dissolve sticky varnish and free piston

    Hey Troy,how do u start the teedee010 with a nornal glowstarter/ glowdriver? Can i do that also on a normal cox 049 head or is it a modified head wich u are using??

    • @TeeBeeZee
      @TeeBeeZee  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry but it only works with the Rower Hobbies glow starter that is no longer sold. I still have 2 that work. The others on the market that I’ve tried do not contact the head properly to heat it. The Cox clips work pretty good on .020 and larger heads but the .010 is tricky due to its size. I will probably have to make a custom clip soon.

    Excellent work 🙂 im seeing many cox model enligne : Cox Tee Dee .010 but the tank its plastic, can you give me an advise if its good ? Its not gonna melted with the engine heat ?

    • @TeeBeeZee
      @TeeBeeZee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problems with melting plastic Cox engine tanks. This model actually has a remote 10cc tank inside the fuselage but most of my .010 engines use the stock Cox tank.

      @@TeeBeeZee thanks for replying, i was looking if you have Facebook page or something to contact you, the .010 around $46 but there is no parts enligne incase i need it one day, i think im gonna purchase the 0.49 model

    • @TeeBeeZee
      @TeeBeeZee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@achrafjohnny8765 If you're new to operating Cox engines, I would certainly recommend you start with the more common .049 models. The Cox Engine Forum online has lots of info about that stuff. The smaller .010 engines are more tedious to operate and demand a little more experience to be successful with them. In addition, the smaller ones have a lack of spare parts available, as you mentioned, so extreme care must be taken while fiddling with them.
