I main Gardevoir EX and I have to say losing shining arcana Gardy and zacian V really hurt with consistency and recovery from KOs. The high HP stage two attackers really are a challenge this rotation. Loving the content 🔥
Great stuff. Definitely interested in a future video on upgrading this deck. My 7yo and I are getting into making some more competitive decks and he's interested in playing with others. A game shop by us we really like is moving to a bigger location in a month and will be hosting events. Last month we bought the Palkia league deck and built a Charizard deck from getting singles.
Welcome to you both into the Pokemon TCG community! I’m aiming to have my Gardevoir upgrade video up by the launch of the League Battle Deck. I have a few older Gardevoir videos on the channel but they’re pre-rotation and not as relevant. Palkia and Charizard are great first decks! I’m aiming to work my Palkia League Battle Deck into Chien-Pao eventually. And I’m one Charizard ex short of building Charizard Bibarel. Pidgeot is better but I’m not willing to pay for 2 of those right now 😂
They didn't put a scream tail!? Pokémon always gets so close and just misses slightly. Scream tail jirachi and manaphy are probably needed. This is a really cool idea for a video tho
I've done previews for every League Battle Deck before launch since Ice Rider and Shadow Rider! They're some of my most popular videos and I plan on keeping them up as people want to see these decks in action.
Another great content thank you. Would be awesome if you could talk about match ups against other meta decks too eg. This is not favourable against Charizard. Just a suggestion 😁
I disagree with you on the Gardevoir vs. Charizard match-up and we have data to prove it. In the Paradox Rift format, data shows that across over 1,600 online tournament matches, Gardevoir won more of them with a record of 848 wins, 807 losses, and 64 ties. play.limitlesstcg.com/decks/gardevoir-ex-sv/matchups/?format=standard&rotation=2023&set=PAR The new format doesn't have much data yet, but in the early days, Gardevoir still has a slight lead over Charizard. play.limitlesstcg.com/decks/gardevoir-ex-sv/matchups/?format=standard&rotation=2023&set=TEF I think the overall data will be closer, but I don't think it's an awful match-up for Gardevoir. Charizard hits Gardevoir for weakness, but Gardevoir has had the upper hand by having single-prize attackers that can one-shot Charizard. Charizard needs access to Boss's Orders consistently in order to keep up or Gardevoir's single-prize attackers will run Charizard over. And even then, one well-timed Turo's Scenario pulls the multi-prize Gardevoir ex off the board, forcing Charizard to only take 1 prize on the following turn. Post rotation is certainly harder for Gardevoir to one-shot Charizard, but it still can do so with Drifloon and the right HP buff (Hero's Cape, Luxurious Cape, or Moonlit Hill). Because of that, I think that match-up is fine for Gardevoir.
I've done Gardevoir deck videos for every major set. It's not relevant anymore due to rotation, but I did a Gardevoir not too long ago th-cam.com/video/63oNHJMrfOI/w-d-xo.html Will probably get around to my upgrade video on the day the League Battle Deck releases.
Bench Barrier Mew hasn’t been Standard format legal for years now. However, Manaphy from Brilliant Stars has the same ability and is Standard legal. Manaphy is a staple in all Gardevoir decks for that bench barrier.
I'm new to this whole Pokemon TCG. Can I ask why you would take out the Drifloon and put in a Scream Tail given the Drifloon hits for 30 per Damage Counter vs Scream Tails 20?
I wouldn't take out all of the Drifloon. I would replace 1 Drifloon with 1 Scream Tail. Drifloon does more damage but it only hits the active. Scream Tail's attack lets it hit a Pokemon in the active OR on the bench. Roaring Scream: "This attack does 20 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon for each damage counter on this Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)" "1 of your opponent's" = any of them in play. Having both gives you the opportunity to hit the active and the bench. Also, Scream Tail hits the bench harder than Cresselia, but Cresselia caps out at 120 damage (which you're rarely ever going to reach), while Scream Tail can hit the active or the bench for 160 without any HP modifiers, or 240 with a Bravery Charm, or 360 with Luxurious Cape or Hero's Cape.
Most competitive Gardevoir decks these days run 2 Drifloon and 1 Scream Tail. For examples of successful competitive Gardevoir decks from online tournaments, check out the Gardevoir builds from Limitless: play.limitlesstcg.com/decks/gardevoir-ex-sv?format=standard&rotation=2023&set=TEF
I don't know what you're referring to, as I don't recall saying anything bad about Charizard, which is the consensus best deck in the current format...
I was salty that I was about to lose to Charizard again because the League Battle Deck doesn't come with the necessary HP modifiers to one-shot Charizard. This was not my first loss to Charizard on stream and I was already off to a horrible start. Based on the way things played out, if the deck came with any combination of Moonlit Hill, Luxurious Cape, or Hero's Cape, I could have won. But without them, this League Battle Deck doesn't stand a chance.
3 copies of my girl
Lumineon, Mew, AND Greninja???? Damn this product is awesome I can't wait for my amazon package.

I am very new to the game and decided to build the modified gardevoir deck! Your video was very helpful to learn and watch. thank you very much :)
Thanks for watching!

you could also use the new stage 1 from tef thats jirachi and manaphy combined to save bench space, but idk

Thank you as usual. I purchase all the battle league decks, and this one is on the way already.
I just got this deck 2 days ago and I don't know how they messed this up but I got no copies of lumineon v and 4 copies of gardevoir ex 💀
Great vid - will deffo be picking it up! Wondering if they'll have any available at EUIC when I head there.
Fingers crossed that they do have it there!
Hell yeah it is.

I could look it up but i like the way you summarise and show test matches too

I’m thinking about adding Mew to my deck because of its bench barrier ability. Thoughts?

Ah OK. That would be useful in certain circumstances. Thanks foe the clarification.
Would you recommend 3 Drifloon + 1 Scream Tail or 50/50? If I was going to replace with Scream Tail?
Most competitive Gardevoir decks these days run 2 Drifloon and 1 Scream Tail.

For a newbie who is mostly into YGO and wants to get into Pokemon TCG, what's better for me? This one or the Miraidon League box?
Miraidon without flaaffly is trash, this garde deck is getting weak cause lost some strong cards, but gets other ones to compete well
Buy chien pao and try to get your hands on superior energy retrieval
miraidon is cooked now that rotation hit
@@JustysFrank Shame, I liked the deck just for Miraidon itself, but a Gardevoir is fine too I guess.
@@NifesTCG-lc9dl Gonna check it out, thanks.
"math is hard" - YEAH
Very good!! Can you put te list atualization?
The deck list is in the description of the video.
as always. I am going to wait until they drop 50% off from sitting in warehouse for a year.
Lucky!
thanks!
No ace spec ?
League Battle Decks currently don’t come with an Ace Spec.
I wonder if they'll replace the radiant pokemon in the next sets to release or if the 6 featured cards will always be Pokémon
@@stuey-77 I'm certain the next League Battle Deck won't contain a Radiant Pokemon due to how close it will be to rotation.
Also why shouldnt people buy zard decks?
I don't know what you're referring to, as I don't recall saying anything bad about Charizard, which is the consensus best deck in the current format...
At 23 mins 😅 you said don't buy it haha. I was looking into buying it too so was wondering why

But yeah Charizard is the best deck in the game and if you want it, go for it! I'm currently getting the cards to build a paper Charizard deck too :P
