I have 1050 which was purchased less than 3 months ago and after loading 5k rounds on it I hate the press! It's not smooth, makes a lot of noise, requires many mods to get it her to run right, etc etc. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to the return the 1050 press for the RL1100 by Dillon's superb customer service. I hope that the RL1100 performs better than the 1050 because I was leaning towards the Mark 7 Evolution press but I don't feel like spending 3k for now~
See th-cam.com/video/ewHFKIwyWWA/w-d-xo.html . It looks like a compromise in stroke length between the RL 1050 and the Super 1050 so you can do larger than 223 length rounds but still load short pistol rounds. The crank mechanism is smoother and it has the updated primer mechanism.
I currently have one 650 set up with small primer that I load 9mm, 556 and 300BO with and another 650 set up with large primer that I load 45ACP, 308 and 458 SOCOM with. Quick change setups with dies already set up makes caliber conversions easy. I held off getting the 1050 for the 1100. Contemplating getting either 1100 for 556 or 308 setup since has swage for military brass. How difficult are caliber conversions with RL1100 and how much does each caliber conversion run? Are the 1100 quick caliber conversions priced similar to the 1050s?
The RL1100 looks like its designed to heavily pump out one type of caliber whilst the XL750 has a quick change feature so you can quickly swap out entire die sets easily. since i have 3 calibers to reload I am thinking the XL750 is the better choice for the job. am I right?
Update: I got the RL1100 which comes with a quick change feature as the XL750 does.. the reason i went with the RL1100 is the built in "Upgraded Primer Pocket Swager"

The mounting plate didn't come out of the box. Who makes this? Dillon does not have this as an accessory that I can find. Help Please!?!?!?
I don't think they sell it , I believe its just a display mount they use at shows

The mounting plates were custom made for us to use in our show room. We do not make these for sale, they were made for us by an outside source.
