No husband and wife trips but parents and children experiences because she loves seeing how happy everyone is when we're together and wants to enjoy life with the kids while they still want to be around us.

When I was healthy I valued travel way above material possessions. But 20 years in to a chronic illness that sometimes leaves me bedridden for weeks or months…I just can’t see spending the money. The last time I flew, I missed the whole vacation and ended up 3 weeks in the hospital.

My hubby tried to buy me a huge ring. I said no, that's ridiculous. I love my tiny gold band, and one day, when I'm called home, our girls will have it melted down into 2 tiny rings to wear as a pendant and keep close to their hearts.
