I would also add, that if you use your laptop only for light work (like surfing or office work) and/or you are on battery, you can try to find a lowest possible value without PC getting too slow/too painful to use. Not only it will reduce temperature, but power consumption as well, thus your battery would work from some minutes to hours more. (P.S.: In order to Turbo Ratio Limits to work, you have to have Turbo Boost enabled & unticked "Disable Turbo" in ThrottleStop) Thanks for the video!

I find utilizing power limits more efficient than underclocking. By imposing the proper power limit you get max speed when the power demand is below the limit and whatever speed when the limit is hit.
its not bad yeah, but it can really screw with performance in more powerful cpus's also if you set it low, but then want to set it higher you have to reset your ini as it doesnt quite do so itself what cpu do you have btw?

Generally speaking a good option BUT you forgot that certain cores can clock higher than others without a big temp impact. If you supply all cores with the same amount of power equally, those cores will be slowed down while other will still waste energy in form of heat conversion. So yes, you can do it like that but it´s less efficient than analyzing which cores are most efficient and only boosting those a little more instead. Despite that, it´s pertty much the only option you can do. If you have already improved cooling and done undervolting if possible.
Yeah it's mostly laptops that have been restricted my brother. Although I was trying to assist a guy with an 13900kf who has the same issue so I suppose it could also be manufacturer dependent

Yeah unfortunately if your computer has undervolt protection that method won't work at all. You can disable undervolt protection via a real grind, but then your CPU operates at 400mhz which is no good Have you tried TPL suggestion I made of 30 and 30? TPL is different to Turbo Ratio Limits. It's literally the last resort if all the other options aren't available

Set it to 44 correct 12th gen looks a little different to my setup, but I would assume it would be the p cores as they do the heavy lifting (ie when the CPU is under load) E cores are more for just run rate desktop when the CPU isn't under load

Hi, i have lenovo legion with i7 13700HX, i was able to undervolt it to -120mV on core and i also limited max frequency, but wonder - is it now possible to use different power modes (performance, balance, quite) which are common in lenovo laptops? Because these alter voltages etc... I don't know, which settings will be prefered by the system

I am happy with its thermals even on default settings without undervolting, but lower temperature with UV can be seen just in performance mode and that only by few degrees while gaming (maybe 1-2°C lol), so I'm not sure wheter is not just margin of error. In stress test it's bit better, but still maybe just 5 °C decrease in performance mode.

It shows that the offset voltage is unlocked but I have it on -200 and I don't think it is doping anything. But the turbo groups is definitely working thanks! Thanks for all the help you gave me before bro but nothing works for me . I tried all the steps undervolting and setting low turbo ratio limits but cpu is always at 92-93 degrees. even cleaned the cpu and applied thermal paste didnt work. I don't have any hope now it isnt that laptop cpus cant take 92 degrees they can easily withstand those temps but still wanted lower temps as i game a lot. i will give a heads up if i find any other sol. thanks :)

Bro i found something I have 12700h When I set the max frequency of cpu speed (from power plan) to ultimate I got 86.496 point(960M Test) on TS Bench in ThrottleStop with 83c" maximum When I set it to 800mhz (notice: it's only apply on e cores, p cores still at max) I got 106.866 point with 78c* maximum And i noticed that the lower the maximum speed of the e cores the higher points and lower the temperature. So is that okay to set the e cores to only 800mhz for example? Or will cause a problem later? Please answer me. (Another notice: for all tests fan speed didn't increase more than 4000rpm except ultimade speed test)

Do a benchmark only a benchmark can tell. It might be a good solution since you are ot using te E cores much regardless but they produce exess heat. So by slowing them down a lot you can headroom for the P cores.

If that voltage is stable in performance then it should be fine in all the other profiles

Honestly the e cores are for operations where performance isn't an issue. So unless you run into issues I think that would be fine
