Very good review of the film by you... V. Shantaram 's " Do Aankhen Bara Hath " also achieved a big success , although some have blamed him for borrowed story from the European movie.
The picture of Sandhya that you use, of her holding a Tuntuna, a musical instrument with one string. In the film Do Ankhen Barah Haath, she sells toys, that she carries in a basket on her head and on her and plays that to attract children. And she drags a tom tom cart. Even till the 80s we saw such toy sellers. She sings the song Saiyya jhooton ka bada sartaj nikla while she wanders, playing on her tuntuna. And then there's the prayer Ae malik tere bande hum. You should watch and listen to them.
Try to watch jhanak jhanak payal baje, for Sandhy & lovely music. Also watch 80 s Songsfrom premrog, Ek duje k liye. Great music ,iconic films by socail angle and the best of Lataji.
