      Thank you George. I love building my stuff but there are a lot of kool builds out there for older era's. The weathering a detail options are higher. I plan eventually to do some older stuff but have a lot of builds(50+) lined up.

    I've went through 3 packs of that camo net now lol at 11 bucks a pack I need to start doing my own! But it is nice when it's all pulled apart n done right eh! I've seen some models whare it's just thrown over the model out the pack lol it just makes you just think why lol 🤔
    The PE one's are nice enough you have to be careful when taking a flame to them first because they do burn n snap out the netting effect but they just don't work well if there not heated first to get the springyness out the brass!

    I've gotnthay same Mr hobby weathering set the 3 colours I think are just fantastic when modulation is done even with the ochar sand one as a base it dries real nice! I also think they work better somehow than vallejos! Don't known what it.is if there more finly ground but just control alot nicer.

    When did they start adding the MG stowage box to the A6 turret in front of TCs cupola likenon the rfm canad version now I'm noticing it on alot of 2A6s and it's looking bare on the Bordor one like it's needed eh haha I've done a late version 2A6 from there kit also started to notice that on some real vehicles there also a grab handed on the right hand side front armour skirt that lifts up just don't know if I should need to add it on the later version? What would you suggest?

    • @Ricks135scalemodels
      @Ricks135scalemodels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Front what I've read, it's on some but not all and it's when they upgraded the a6 to a6m.

    Hi Rick, the net looks really good, but i am Sure, the bundeswehr havent this Kind of net. The net from the bundeswehr is different.

    • @Ricks135scalemodels
      @Ricks135scalemodels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. Ak makes 2 types of green netting. This one and another. The difference is minor but I would agree the other version looks a little closer. Unfortunately, at the time I got this, I could locate the other. Your the first to notice. I think you are right and I did get some of the other but it hasn't arrived.

    What did you use to make the camo net and what colours did you use for it ?

    • @Ricks135scalemodels
      @Ricks135scalemodels  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm using the AK brand netting type 2. It comes in green, tan and white. I painted it OD on one side and nato green on the other. If you get it, get the white. It's easy to paint.

  • @snowyfox_01
    @snowyfox_01 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    what enamel paint and colours did you use for the weathered effects?

    • @Ricks135scalemodels
      @Ricks135scalemodels  ปีที่แล้ว

      The paint was done with tamiya acrylic nato black, green and brown. The weathering was a combo of hobby lobby chalks, some enamel brown made into a wash. I talk the chalk pastels and ad enamel thinner to make a thick

    • @snowyfox_01
      @snowyfox_01 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ricks135scalemodels I should've clarified, sorry. I mean the rain streaks and stuff, like where you put the enamel paint on and then use the thinner to brush it downwards and it creates streaks
      Edit: You did a really nice job on the mud by the way

    • @Ricks135scalemodels
      @Ricks135scalemodels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you.. I understand.. I used Humbrol enamel satin 196 and Matt 140. Any medium and light gray works. Don't mix to much. Try and get a little of the unmixed paint thick stuff and put small drop. Then blend down fir water streaks

      Finished building the border model's kit just need get the painting done now it was really nice very surprised as there newer stuff quite bad! Really enjoyed it I have to admit! Remember I was saying about the bore extractor and was going to try some rigging and putty well done it and actually don't look all to bad I think it looks good I tried to copy RFMs new 2A6 from the cad images just hope there correct as not really as pronounced on the real thing than the model's so kept it so it's not right in your face nice and subtle but you'll notice it when looking at the model! I'll send you pic's on your FB later I've recen found you n commented on the Trophy system your building that's just way to cool man! Can't wait to see it wonder if we will get a new kit out soon with a leopard with Trophy eh that's be brilliant!
