      Because of two different reason,
      1 pH of solutions
      2 the amount of gold in solution

    Nitric should first be completely consumed before moving on to precipitation. If too much nitric has been added in the initial dissolution, then the aqua regia solution should be boiled down to a syrup in order to drive off the excess nitric acid. Then re diluted with HCL and H20 for filtering and THEN precipitation.

      I also learn a lot of knowledge from you and also from my other viewers, highly appreciated..
      best practice using aqua regia is done by slowly add nitric not mixing directly 3:1 ratio or 4:1 ratio, and I also realized that when make gold recovery in small amount of scrap during precipitation you have already got precipitation but you never notice it, unlike large amount of gold, in addition watch sreetips video he never neutralized aqua regia because he use nitric correctly drop by drop

    • @PoorMiners321

      Thanks for watching and reaching me, the mean cause is our precipitant, the precipitation of smb are very tiny particle and easily float, all you need to do is to wait a couple hours to sank the gold into the buttom of your beaker then decant the eccess solution carefully then by washing you need always hot distilled water and always wait all the gold set back again to the buttom of your beaker the the final depends on you if you dry or capture through filter paper.

    I just boil it down then filter. Make nitrated cofee filters as they are resistant to it and easily burn to recover the materials soaked in them. Then i keep cooking till it starts crystalizing let cool saving the gold as HAuCl4. This then gets fed into an electrolytic cell eventually that makes 3 or 4N gold plus chlorine that gets used to recover other noble metals. Also jewlers like the chloroauric acid to feed their electroplating machines and they pay more than the gold value for it. ❤

    Hello, the nitric acid and hydrochloric acid required for aqua regia have a certain purity level. For example, the purity of HNO3 sold in the market may be 52%, and HCl may be 25%. Can aqua regia be prepared from two acids at these purity levels?

    • @PoorMiners321

      yes, that is also possible, 52% hno3, and 25% hcl, 3:1 ratio, if you can't find higher concentrations. but good concentrations of aqua regia 68% hno3 and 29% to 35% hcl.

      Thank you very much brother, some tips here, For those new to gold recovery, the first thing to do is always dissolved base metal, do not disslove directly into aqua regia, collect gold foils by filtering, dissolved gold foils in aqua regia, note! aqua regia is difficult to master, to make aqua regia you need to cover your gold foils with hcl, and slowly add nitric acid, if you see that everything is dissolved, stop adding hno3 the gold is already in the solution , neutralize aqua regia by adding sulfamic if necessary, by adding small amount.
      For SMB you need to check the purity of the smb you will use, its sulfur must be at 67%, if it is below 67% sulfur, it will be difficult for you to precipitate the gold so there will be no result from what you did.

      @saminakader571 ah you didn't dissolve your gold foils brother, then you add sulfuric drop by drop? That's wrong, add few amounts only maybe 2 to 3ml, if hcl and nitric acid isn't dissolve your gold foil check the concentration of your hcl 29% and up is working well, even if your nitric acid 50% to 68% its working better.

    I dissolve metabisulfite in cold water and the temperature of the acid is about 50 degrees, although I also tested at low temperatures of about 20 degrees, but no color change occurs. I try to extract gold from the soil but I did not succeed. I first wash and heat the soil with nitric and sulfuric acid and then add the acid, but again I can't do sedimentation.

      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In your case,
      have you test your solution have gold in it? if you are very sure that theres gold, then this is your problem,
      higher acidity, you disslove your gold bact to solution again, you have excess nitric acid, then contamination by late adding urea, then sulfuric also cause that your gold goes to the solution for ever..
      here is the last choice to recover your gold.
      don't just throw away that solution, boil it at leat 10 minutes boiling as in boiling, then slowly drop sodium sulfite, not sodium metabisulfite, sodium sulfite and sodium metabisulfite is different, continue boiling until you got precipitation forming as a black powder in a beaker then refine it.

      Ok first thing you gonna do here is to filter white precipitate, separate the liquid then add zinc powder to your filtered solution, if zinc powder unavailble to you add zinc bar, then the white precipitate that you capture in your filter paper try to redissolve into aqua regia mabe 100ml hcl and 20ml 68% hno3 , then precipitate again using iron sulfate..
      Posible cause of white precipitations.
      1. Maybe your solutions is low acidity.
      2. Maybe the gold are small amount and large amount of base metal and your process are directly dissolve into aqua regia.
      3. Maybe your using more water to wash during filtrations.
      4. Maybe your smb are low sulfur content. Recommended smb sulfur content 60% and above.
      5. Maybe you add too much neutralizing agent like urea or sulfamic.

      Nice work😁, Good day sir I Am not expert sir but, I had accumulated knowledge to do this task, I realy relate your problem we back 9 years ago.
      so this is how to do next, do this job in order..1, extract the gold from with water and nitric acid alone,
      2, wash the material with distelled water multiple times not tap water
      3, add hydrochloric acid double times with your materials.
      4 , heat hydrochloric acid at 85c is better to react faster if nitric acid is apply, start dropping nitric acid to form aqua regia start at 3ml if the reaction has very slow then add more,when reaction goes stronger wait until reaction has stop, then drop 1 shot of sulfuric acid small amount 2ml to 3ml, then add more nitric, if you see that there's no reaction when you add nitric then its time to stop adding nitric and cool your aqua regia solution
      5. if solution has cool down then filter it multiple times,
      6, add small amount of urea halt table spoon to 1 table spoon or diesel exhaust fluid,
      7, add smb, depends on amount of your aqua regia, some people dissolve it in water but for me i dont like that because you cant estemate if you got precipitation or not, that process is good for expert not for the beginners.

      @PoorMiners321  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @andrebattis9410 don't add sulfamic again it contaminate your solution, filter it to get the precipitated gold, then the filter solution add hcl and heat then add smb

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @andrebattis9410 if you dont get precipitation, calculate the estimated gold you have in solution, sometimes the stannous test turn purple because of too much adding smb, if you think that there's missing gold last option is to add zinc powder to cement out the remaining gold in your solutions.

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว

      your solution maybe low acidity or contamenated with other base metal,
      so you do this, contenue add smb until there are foams,

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว

      then if the solution got foaming, stop adding smb, then allowed to settle down all precipitation, maybe 10 to 12 hours, then after settle down filter it with filter paper, to capture all precipitation including white precipitate, then dry it to your beaker or steel plate, then dissolve again with hot aqua regia,

    • @PoorMiners321
      @PoorMiners321  ปีที่แล้ว

      to dissolve in aqua regia add hydrochloric acid much to covered the material, then heat is apply, when hydrochloric acid are heated, slowly drop nitric to form aqua regia, start it with 3ml nitric acid, if you see that all you precipitation dissolve then stop adding nitric acid.

    • @PoorMiners321

      foaming that quickly dissappearing is the good indecation that you got perfect precipitation and that is the right time to stop adding smb, but if your aqua regia solution first add smb it immediately foams and taking longer to dissappear that means you have excess oxidizer or excess nitric acid all you need to do is to add small amount of water and add add urea or exhaus fluids to kill nitric.

      all you need to do is to disolution the platinum, alloyed with gold which dissolve in nitric acid so that in gold parting, for example, if platinum was present, some, or perhaps the whole of it would go into solution, then go ahead for aqua regia and precopitate with sodium meta bisulfite so that gold precipitate then platinum remain in solution as I know.
