Grand mid year layout update tour of Marklinofsweden

- Join the journey through the miniature landscapes on the grand model railroad of marklinofsweden. This mid year layout tour was filmed using 4 differerent HD-cameras with it´s own unique features to capture the miniature enviroments around the layout.
A total of over 200 video clips was filmed and mixed with explaining graphics, voice over and sound effects for your viewing pleasure.

I love the detail in your various scenes and admire how beautiful you whole layout looks. The background painting is really pretty as well and adds such a lot to the feel of your layout.
That lady you spoke about at the beginning has made a few elders very happy and given them more than just a fun activity. So often once elders move into a "home" they are forgotten by their families and are left to basically sit waiting to die. It can be very sad, but she brought this group of people together and gave them something more to their lives. I commend her for that.

Nice to see You again! Fine new Rolling Stock. The ocean blue and beige trains were the brand new stryle for the D.Zug /fast trains (those who dont stop at every village) when I was a child.. The Inter Citys were in red and beige. The blue 110 is also one of my favourite designs. Thats why I bought my Dongh-Feng loco in blue and not in chinese standard green for my trash-train -layout.

Hi Martin, thank you very much for this layout update tour. It looks really great and I love the little details with lots of humor! That German train in two colors is beautiful. It amazes me that you have so much different rolling stock but none of it mismatches in your scenery. Old, older, new and the latest high-speed..., they all look as if they belong. Autum and winter in Sweden gives you lots of time for your hobby. But I see you are still working at it during the summer. Nice! I think I will migrate to Sweden ;-). You Should buy a small actioncam to build into a wagon. Have a locomotive push it around the track and let us see the view from the front. 😀
Wow; you could probably make a kids story time mini series using these. You have the perfect voice for it too! Maybe the human models, or animal caricatures you'd use would be a bit more animated with brighter colors. The little world could be spruced with more colors by using color autumn leaves for fall, snow for winter etc. bright car models. Just a thought as you've got all the cameras and landscape now. Thanks for making this video : )

The open hydrant is brilliantly done - cotton wool? Hard to tell from that camera angle; should there be a bit more water on the ground, leading to the drain cover?

Hey 4:50 a Frico car from Leeuwarden! I have lived in Leeuwarden (in the Netherlands) for 15 years. Frico is the old name of the dairy factory in Leeuwarden. Frico stands for Friese Coöperatieve Zuivel Export (Frisian Cooperative Dairy Export) and those wagons are for transportation of milk, cheese, etc. It says "zuivelproducten" (dairy products) on the side of the car. In the corner there's a little red advertisement for Rivella, a drink with milk whey as a key ingredient, which is why it was produced at Frico back then. These wagons (with Rivella ads) were used from 1957 to 1966. They were replaced by these cars: images.beneluxspoor.net/bnls/Frico_1_1.jpg I don't know for how long those have been used. The company is now known as FrieslandCampina, the dairy factory is still on the original location. You can find it on Google Maps, next to the railway. But as far as I know, no trains stop there anymore. The rails are only used for passenger trains nowadays.
Since you said you’re working on installing catenary, Could you produce a video about working with catenary? there aren’t very many English language videos on the subject out there!

Great, really amazing details. I am starting, what is the height of your tables? My upper level 3 will be 55cm higher than my hidden station at level 1. I am thinking to set the station at 50 cm making the highest level at 105cm.
Sir, you do amazing work with all sorts of materials. Tell me how you keep your track clean. Did you put these no stop capacitors in your locs and if yes, how in marklin digital locs.

Too Trivial to say but most congratulations for your tutorials. I'm a Marklin Fan since too many years and been collecting rolling stock in H0 and Spur 1. I have started a layout with Track only for the moment - at least until I'm happy with it before going to the decoration and be much inspired by your work.
My question: do you have a Tutorial or advices into which WIFI small camera to buy to allow filming from the track it self ? I have the old video set from Marklin 49940 but it's not that convenient now and new WIFI cameras sounds to have newer and better technologies (especially if light is lower). Just not sure which one to buy or best practical ways to modify a wagon or a loco with it. All your advices welcome...or idea for a new Tutorial ?

Kia ora, Martin .Good progress I see. My favourite loco is the RA from the 50's. Good to see you have started on catenary. Are you using marklin for this ? have you coloured this? I have tried chemical blackener,does not rub off.Shiny silver catenary does not look realistic to me. any ideas on this? keep up the good work .Regards, Simon C . kia kaha
Thank you! Yes, I paint it with thinned black acryllic paint. It’s not permanent, but I never touch the catanary so it doesn’t really matter for me
