Best attraction I have ever visited (Royal Navy museum Hartlepool)

Today I visited the Hartlepool Royal Navy Museum. I must say I was literally blown away by the sheer effort that has gone into this museum. The artefacts and information were excellent and also the displays and graphics. The price is also amazing and extra discounts if you are with the blue light services.

As a kid at school we stayed on HMS Foudroyant in Pompey harbour for a week. In 1987 it was taken up to Hartlepool and renamed to its original name HMS Trincomalee. Whilst in Pompey it was a cadet training ship.

I thought the Royal Navy museum was based in Rutland or somewhere like Rutland in Somerst Devon.

I think they must have a few. This one focused on the 18th/19th century lifestyle of the navy. Absolutely great museum
