I WENT WITH A OLD GRINDER. I HAD TO PUT SOME FEET (RUBBER) ON IT TO KEEP IT FROM WALKING. MINE IS A 8 INCH WHEEL SO I DID NOT HAVE TO BUILD MY BASE AS HIGH AS YOURS . YOU DID A GOOD JOB.
+Robert Amaro basically, the switch goes in between the hot line from the wall. Thats what shuts off the power. The other wires just pass straight through.
Dude! Good freaking job right there! I love repurposing old motors and stuff like that.
Thanks! I can't just toss out a working motor.
Nicely done, I will have to make my own as I find the shop bought ones have been very underpowered 👍
Homemade tools are always better in my opinion.
900 RPM is the ideal speed for buffing and polishing

U should do a workshop tour showing all the machines u have
+HACKEX HACKEX I will probably do that soon as a Q&A video. 👍
Rheostat is good idea and is an easy install..
one word - one tool - LATHE - LOL
What about a rheostat? Replace your single pole switch.
If you ever decide to polish aluminium parts, the extra speed is useful, getting the parts hot helps the compound to cut more effectively,
Why don’t you use a switch to moderate the speed?
Cool
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Don't bother with pullies, getting a smaller diameter buff wheel will fix the problem.
+Sunshine_Shooter hey, good idea. I may try that first. Thanks for the tip. 👍
Jeff Baker No problem.
where is your safety glasses? Using an air nailer like that without glasses you can lose an eye.
+Chris Cardinale there is is! 👍
LMFAO!
