    I sometimes want to play big gun and it is alwys in Leo, because he is probably the best one for it until finally we get someone with an ability actually caring about firearms.

    Great video as always

    I friend of mine is playing him through hemlock. So many dogs have died because of his limb. I believe he has drawn only enemies and foot tests except for two times in four scenario's.

    >Leo's got one of the best abilities if you can use it... but you won't be using it that often
    >If only there were another great ally like guard dog/beat cop
    >You want to find Mitch but don't have great draw
    Am i missing something or does Calling in Favors address your concerns with Leo by returning guard dog/beat cop to your hand and digging for another ally?

      Leo's very tight on card slots, and replaying allies does rather drastically increase the cost of the deck. Also, Mitch is great, but I would not rank finding him as a tremendous priority.
      All of that said, Calling in Favors is great in Leo and I should've taken a much harder look at the card than I did. It may well be in a more optimal Leo list than the one I've posted.

    What's your take on Cyclopian Hammer Leo? It'll save you all the deck space that the gun package takes up and doesn't need support other than a way to search out your weapon.

      @@ChenowethGames Same as Runic Axe. It's obviously good, but if I'm playing Leo then I want to minimize weapon exp costs so that I can get my allies/charisma's in faster. You could make an argument for different level 0 weapons and going for those bigger weapons options at ~20 exp. I just feel more comfortable getting survival knives a few scenarios earlier.

      @RatherIncoherent Haste with Leo seems really good, though. Haste, Cyclopian Hammer and some other action asset that's not dependent on enemies like Dario or something. Seems good for Leo.

    I hate that "Leo big gun" is even a thing and I always refused to play him this way. I don't think designer's intent was "big gun". However, the issue with Leo is that there are not enough disposable allies with an enter and/or leave play effect (like Silvan in LotR).

      Why not? It's not like the designer forgot that rogue 0-2 has lots of cards that enhance guns, and they gave him 1 foot, invalidating many of the other rogue archetypes. It seems obvious that big guns are intended as an option.

    Is there a world where Agency Support and support for it is good for Leo? I mean ... if not him, then who...

    • @RatherIncoherent
      @RatherIncoherent  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@martintomov7576 I've asked myself who Backup is for, a lot. Even in Zoey, Leo, and Tommy it feels ludicrously expensive. Then I remember it's a 5 exp card to boot. If I were going to play a Backup deck, it'd be in Leo for sure. He's probably the best at using it, but the card has just never seemed appealing to me at all.

    • @rupert7565
      @rupert7565 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's to expensive to ever being an optimal card. So no agency support in not optimal for leo, but leo (or tommy) is optimal for Agency support.

      @martintomov7576 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@RatherIncoherent I think there is a world where Calling in Favors can net some good synergies with the Agency, provided someone is willing to sponsor the expedition of Leo at least a little bit.

    Leo is a character I've never really found a reason to play. His 1 in evade makes his rogue card pool nowhere near as fun as it could be.

    • @Chiungalla79
      @Chiungalla79 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      What's really sad about this is that 1 evade is close to being a death sentence in those two campaigns he would fit in the most flavor wise.

    • @RatherIncoherent
      @RatherIncoherent  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@ChenowethGames Strongly agreed, and Leo isn't the only investigator that makes me sad due to his they interact with their deckbuilding. I wouldn't mind seeing another round of 5/2 deckbuilding investigators for people like Leo and Preston that can't interact with half their card pool in the intuitive way you'd want to. Or parallel investigators for them that do the same thing.

    • @Paintpenetrator
      @Paintpenetrator 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Somecard pulls are just sad. If he had 4 foot and 1 head, he would be much more interesting to play. Preston took over rogue 5 survivor 2 with jank restriction and abilities which is also unfortunate. Preston is fun but oh man I wish some normal investigator accessed rogue 5 and survivor 2

      @@RatherIncoherent I'd love some investigators that bring a new twist on the 5/2 of Leo, Tommy and Preston. Would be fun. I'd also love to see a different take at 5/2 Survivor/Mystic - Patrice is solid, but I want a necromancer!
