The only single grain I’ve had experience with was an 11-year-old from Girvin. It was higher proof and reminded me of nail polish. I hope to try this one one day.
Oh, ho-hum, look who's back... Oh, who am I kidding? I let out a "Yeeeeeessss!" when I saw you posted again. So good to see you both back on the TH-cams!
Thanks for reviewing, ladies. I've tried both this one and the peated expression. Both decent stuff. For the record, the current regulations are kinda new: 2009. Slàinte mhath
It's great to see your doggies participating in the reviews. Years ago, I had a Loch Lomond single grain independent bottle that was 22 years old, and it was a lemon sherbet bomb. I used quite a bit of it to make my own blended Scotch's. Each blend was just 250ml, but some of them were just amazing. Phil and Deepa did a blind challenge livestream with them. You were on Roy's livestream with them in May of 2022. Whisky Mystery TH-cam channels Donner Pass Whiskey blind challenge is the name if you have almost an hour to waste 😂. Cheers ladies
Nice review ladies. Haven’t had a bottle of this for a few years, so must get round to getting another. Loch Lomond are putting out some great whisky. Slainte.
It's great to see you two lovely ladies back. I've not tried the LL single grain yet but must give it a go. The best single grain I've had so far was a 40 year old Invergordon. That was absolutely dreamy stuff. If you get a chance to try it, it is well worth it.
I haven't seen the LL single grain here in NZ, but I've heard a lot of good things about it. I've had the LL12 and 14 and the Inchmoan 12. Really liked the Inchmoan 12. Cheers!
Can you ladies run down to Campbeltown and grab me a bottle of Springbank please? You can choose what year. Hahaha. Can’t find that anywhere where I live in New York. Seriously though, I do like Loch Lomand when I want a lighter dram. Great vid, good to see you back. Cheers.
Hello girls if your nor Reading up for this you must be the biggest nerds Said in the best meaning😊👍 but i just found you so im happy that your back😊 Best regards from Denmark Thomas
The closest thing I've had to a single grain whisky is corn whisky, which has a specific legal meaning in the United States - and not all corn whisky is 100% corn. But Abasolo, El Whisky de México, and Balcones Baby Blue are both all corn, and I like them both. All the Scottish whisky I've had is either a blend of barley whisky and grain whisky, or single malt (I swear by Laphroaig 10 🙂). 6:44 I've not found any whisky that I like better with water. Tastes differ, of course, but I don't even try water anymore - I just prefer my whisky straight. 🙂🥃
I was always put off by Loch Lomond. Bought a bottle of the 12 a few years back and it was poor. To be fair though I didn’t stick with it so it may have got better. I had this special run of an 11 cask strength… which was really good but it went and ran out too quickly. Which I blame Loch Lomond for…
Sorry to be pedantic, but the straight-necked stills at Loch Lomond are NOT Lomond stills, which were invented about 9 years before Loch Lomond Distillery existed and were installed at Inverleven/Dumbarton, Glenburgie and Miltonduff. One of the Inverleven ones is now at Bruichladdich making Botanist Gin under the name Ugly Betty. There is also one (with the neck plates removed) at Scapa, but there is some disagreement as to where it originated (I think it was one of the Glenburgie ones).

I've been really impressed by Loch Lomand's stuff recently, they're doing a great job.
Great to see you girls back in action.
Nice to see you again, ladies!
I've only had the peated grain, which is excellent!

I think Loch Lomond have always taken umbridge with people saying that they have Lomond stills (I think they describe them as Coffey stills).
This bottle actually says Coffey still on the label.

Don’t be Sorry just accept it😉👍
In Scotland, single malt can only be produced in a pot still - circa 2009

Better be careful, Ukraine is going to be sending over the long range missiles now
