I was just thinking yesterday about this! I have wondered on how one would tame these and how it would look to ride one lol... Thank you for still putting out these videos, it really helps me out!!
Tip for encountering these annoying things: before you go into a cave that has arthroplueras unequip your armor because these guys can spit at you which is strong enough to break your armor so yeah it's much more riskier without armor but it is recommended to encounter one of these guys
Tips: you can use the arthopluera so all of the cave creatures will not attack unless you attack them first but if you get off the arthopluera mount the cave creatures will attack you and also it deals torpor damage.
you could also used a lasso to pull them away from their friends, so that they don't suddenly get ganked by 10 other arthropluera =P (i think you did that the first time you tamed them early in the series).
I think you made that look simple but I'm game for having a go! Cool guide yet again as I've yet to tame one of these spitting suckers, and all the guides tend to recommend using a trap and all that jive, so thank you for making it, at least look easy ;-). [p.s. edit: does riding the Athro make getting them out a bit less problematic? my bad.. second edit: that's why you'll not be able to ride it straight off with its poor weight stat, got it!.]
Just so you know if you're on the center map custom map then you can there's the where the blue obalisk is you can go ahead and go to the little cave there across from it and then in that water source of you bring them into the water source and have for your kibble as you said or spoiled me or anything like that it'll eat it but if it's inside of the water fully submerged inside the water then it's fully passive like you can get as close as you want and just beat it passively fitted spoiled spoiled the meat is when i tame them so pretty much just make them fully submerged in the water and they'll become entirely passive
I don't know if u still need this but it's around north east of the map near the redwood river and it has 2 small collumns of rocks on them I live there lemme go find coordinates

Logged in on their spawn area got wiped hard. Almost lost all my gear try to get back to my remains had 2 minutes left
All I wanted was to ride a giant bug, the hell game. I dont want to search to the ends of the earth for a chance at taming an arthropluera.

Phlinger, I've been meaning to ask, what are you doing to adjust the brightness in the caves?
Its either a mod but most probably hes increasing his gamma light to see stuff
If ur playing on PC, hit Tab, then type "gamma 3" or gamma 4 and hit enter
@@lordexplosionmurder3592 it’s gamma, Phlinger never uses mods on soloing the ark, and that’s where most of his ark basics videos are ob
I dont wanna use their kibble but what i use is rotten meat rather than that kibble.
I had a mastercraft sword. Had. I hit it once and it broke from full.

Just throw them into water or have them follow you in the water, then you just feed him spoiled meat.
Can you use anything besides kibble?

Is it true you can stealth yeti cave with this ?
Just wanna run cave of the strong? Yes but they're SLOW and their weight is garbage
I have an extra chromosome then lvl there weight :/
I would have also mentioned that when fighting them, they are quite easy to headshot.
I would of also mentioned that they can be ridden through caves without taking aggro.
cant u tame it with rutten flesh?
Spoiled meat? Also yes you totally can
One artheplura ate my pike ;-;
It was'nt even damaged by halt
