Many years ago there used to be a specially tuned version of the HW35 available which was marketed by Norman May called the Vixen which was the opposite in appearance to this Limited Edition. It had a blued action with a nickel thumbcatch. These are now very collectable as they had a chromium plated piston and spring guide which was unique to each rifle, a specially designed piston head and mainspring. Such was the tuning that the transfer port in these rifles were calibre specific.
Great Review Rack, alway's rely on you. Just bought the new HW80K It's amazing! Will buy 35 soon as i bought my first 1983, take no notice of that rude Guy, your the man mate 😊
Nice vid. I had one of these 30 years ago. Brand new. Its still exactly the same. Lost faith in it over time, as the cocking mechanism constantly loosened itself. I found myself checking and double checking for any movement in the barrel before and after every shot. This is why HW used special adjustable screws, so that you can take out any slack by nipping them up. If I remember it is a male threaded screw one side, that screws into a female threaded screw on the other. So you need two screwdrivers. I carried two pennies. It did not help that I had a sling mounted on the barrel as near to the breech as it would go. Nowhere else to mount it. Basically lost faith in its ability. The few rifles I have left all consistently, 100 %, outshoot me.
I have a 1983 Luxus with a Hand oiled French Walnut stock with stunning grain- price out rules them using high grade Walnut nowadays sadly. It still shoots pellet on pellet at 25 yards and more- not that light though.
You say the moderator dosent make a difference Rack, but 100% if you go 30 yards away and get someone to fire it with and without you'll know there's a difference! An un tuned springer will always sound loud to the shooter as your head is against the action so you hear the spring slamming the piston forward at a heck of speed before it slams against the inside of the action.
Hi pal.. I've been trying to find out the power output of this!! There is another limited one that's 11.5ft/lb the standard one is lower.. Did you check it???
Nice video! I’ve got one of these! I bought it about 10 years second hand. Had a plinking session the other day for the first time in 9 years! It’s .22 and man it packs a punch! After watching you video on the ATA Airbourne I think I might just get my first pcp rifle! Where can I get that scooting table from that you’ve got there?? All the best and keep them videos coming!
Very nice, I've always fancied a 35, even an older one, but I find them a little heavy. I think the extra long unf thread is to put more barrel in the mod so the mod can be used as a cocking aid.
Nice review Mr Rack. The only thing that spoils the look is that big BLACK scope on top! Get the spray can out. Keep em coming duck (that'll confuse the colonial viewers).
WOULD I BUY A SPRINGER..HELL YES! Especially a HW35E quality gun. This gun has been the stalwart springer in the HW stable of guns. I shoot pcp but they are not the beautiful shooting machines that HW spring guns are.
Not in love with the stock Rack the metal looks very good indeed.... would I buy a springer at my time a life mmmm no we have moved on too much....sorry ......lov to ya mate, keep safe, keep going.

@@hetrodoxly1203 as a reviewer, I got it out of the box and shot it over several days, I don't strip down a gun a check QC from the inside! So no, I didn't see any issues from the outside. If I have a gun to test for a year then maybe. My colleagues say that they just don't get any back faulty.

The most underated hw springer ever made. More acurate than the 80 & 90 by far..
I own both the 35 and the 80k and to be honest at 30 meters I get sub 1/2 inch groups with either as do I with my 99

Did they make 215 in each cal? I have number 89 in .22 cal.
Got one, use it, shoot it, love it, Well tuned air rifle. I will go as far to say its as good as they get.

Mate we had one of those at our gun club when I was 10 . 1990 . That was a beast lol 😂
I'm lucky enough to have no.1 of 215 happy days

Hi rack love your videos buddy when you going to get your hands on the air arms s510T tactical to try? 👍
Cheers buddy! Very soon!
I’d be pleased with those groups, well done 👍
Mine seems to not hold zero with that latch. My other HW break barrels do.
Hi, is this the 7-8 ft lb rifle ?
10ftlb
No, it’s around 11.5 ft lbs

Mr rack that was almost a snapped stock broken scope and sore head there with the decock
My bad buddy!
Thats exactly why i dont decock my BC springers! I just shoot the pellet.
If you point at something with a Weihrauch and miss it's you not the gun .
Or maybe the scope or ammo but yeah, I agree...
Out of the box, that's nonsense.
Iron sights please!
VERY NICE thumbs up and shared. :)
yo rack, whats the best open sights PCP? I only see cheap ones like the PR900 Chinese type ones
An old classic pimped up
The HW98 is the break barrel that rules then all!
How much rack ,thanks, 😁👍
Don't understand that laminate hype....Think the blued finish with walnut stock is looking much better. It is called nickel finish.
I agree!
Very nice!
Being in the trade and not knowing any of the issues?
Not had one come back....
