Good information. Thanks for the review. I think this resort was renovated in 2012, the online pictures are so doctored up. I think I will be staying elsewhere.
You are correct. There have been some renovations. Overall it is a strange layout, but is OK for a few days. I would not spend a week or more here as there is little to do.
where do you recommend to go? looking for an AI over 4 stars in riviera maya. booked the eco sandos. now, regretting it and willing to pay to switch. have stayed at ORP, grand sirenis and grand riviera princess
Anywhere would be better than the eco resort. If you can switch to the Sandos Playacar I would recommend that, as you can still visit the eco resort for the cenote etc.
Good review bar one piece of misinformation regarding the reasons for Sargassum. SST’s around the Caribbean and the Sargasso Sea haven’t changed at all. The sole reason for the sargassum problem is pollution runoff from various countries…. Brazil, the Eastern US and the West Coast of Africa.
@@ItsHappeningSomethingutube No. The oceans around the Sargasso Sea haven’t seen any increases in warmer waters over the years, however the pollution run off from the countries I’ve mentioned certainly has increased.
It is called Sandos Stay. You cannot pre-book the restaurants, only once you have physically checked in. So usually, the restaurants are already booked. The app is horrible, and works over a wifi network, which is also pretty horrible.
dont bother i was there, no worth the money, the beach is nice , service is good but thats all, stay at iberostar in the same same area of playacar Tucan or Quetzal
Agreed! In our next video we will be showing the sister resort - Sandos Eco Caracol, which as a little different vibe than Sandos Playacar - but again you are absolutely right, any Iberostar resort beats Sandos Resorts hands down. The only way I recommend is if you got a crazy deal because there is much better in that area.
Bicycle ride? LOL the security said you cant ride bikes unless you are part of the luxury part of the resort. Who cares about the amount of restaurants, when you already know this info.

I checked it out online and am thinking of booking elsewhere
I didnt like it much,
@@savoiefamilyvids It's a mediocre resort. There are much better resorts nearby for the same price point
@@rockymountainart Good idea to shop around!
THIS PLACE HAS GOOD FOOD AND NICE BEACH, BUT OTHER THEN THAT PRETTY SPREAD OUT AND BORING
This review lacks information, such as the amount of restauranta, bars, the bicycle ride
That's easy info you can get anywhere
