Ikr. I just started the mission and literally the moment I trapped the Gulon I went to go back then realized, DUH!!! I forgot to drop the damn chain right near where the mission was given.
44 hours in and this is the first thing I had to look up. I never would of thought to trap them!

if you get stuck on the cage part (like I did) bc it isn't going high enough, change to 30fps mode and the cage will go higher

Hey, if people still have an issue trapping the dogs, go in the cage, pull them using the blades (L2 + L1) then get out and return ur axe.

I figured it out because they kept reappearing, even after I would only travel a short distance. But this doesn't explain the part I am missing.
This mission was the last piece of the amulet for me to collect but it took me forever to finally get to this area!
Once you have the cage up, throw the axe at the frozen wheel and it will stay frozen. Let one of the creatures attack you next to the cage. When they bite your arm, a trigger will appear and Kratos will throw the creature into the cage. Retrieve the axe and it will trap the creature

I killed the dogs by mistake, how do you get them to respawn?
@@JazJonFL I’m assuming you already figured it out but simply leaving the area and coming back to it will respawn them, just make sure you get enough distance for them to respawn
@@Donikin I figured it out. The next problem was the dogs wouldn’t enter the circle the trick is you have to shoot one of the purple arrows to make the freeze spot glow purple. you can’t just use the axe freeze alone. As soon as I added an arrow, the dogs finally went inside. Then I had to patiently wait until the pink spot vanished a minute or so later and cage moved.
Me too, I was like didn't I just kill you? We're all on the same page but it felt good sacrificing it to that monster.
4:20 was the part I needed. I got super stoned last night and didn’t know I was doing anymore this morning. I’ve been bumbling around that thing for hours before I thought I was… realized I was dumb.

Leave the cage high with the axe freezing the gear. Go outside, bring those two animals in the cage
@@jobrakai9395 you attack it then run to the cage. If you've gotten it open, run outside qnd the close it, thus trapping the monsters inside. Hope this helps!

What if you forget to kick down that chain is there any other way to that spot. I can’t complete this mission because I missed kicking down that chain. One of my last missions to get to 100% same with the stag 😢😂
Follow the video from the very beginning. You must make it day time time you can swing across that one section he does at the very beginning. You get there from a boat dock from the back

@@markmuth2498 at the beginning of the video where he swings, behind him is a boat dock you can access you get up there.
You can get back to that top landing, it's on your way out through the tunnel with your boat, there is a turn off in the middle of the tunnel on your left before you exit, there are two exit tunnels btw so choose the one that has the turn off
If any of you are having a hard time with the cage not going high enough change the graphics mode to favor quality and it'll go higher.

I had trouble with an invisible wall for the wolves. You have two options change the puzzle timer for this specific time or change the frame rate to 30fps

Honestly I just read the frame per second somewhere I would just change the puzzle timer for this task and change it back

My gate won't open up that high at all, I did this exact thing and it only opens up slightly. The animals run into an invisible barrier.
Someone said in th comments to try going to 30 fps mode it should fix it. Find that comment if you have any questions i wish i could help but I haven’t ran into this myself.

Woooow I would never have thought you could lure them for food bait for the actual drake to appear as THE ONLY TIME that happens is with the second dragon and it’s right after you finish the ogre and it takes it as food which is a sort of real time cutscene… Santa Monica Studios needs to have some better hints smh…. Cant do it on mine change frame-rate so it goes higher but the monsters cant go into it even tho its all way up. Got to be most stupidest thing on game
to change your frame rate, in setting click on graphics & camera. then go to graphics mode, and change it to favor quality. that will make the gate go higher.

I don't know how many hours I spend for this jungle in Vanaheim. I really hate this jungle, especially to change from day to night and change again to day to go to other path and also the creatures always respawn after arrive at that path...😤😤😤

Make sure it's daytime and then go back to where you fought the ogres, (it's the area he's in at the very beginning of the video) there's a grapple that takes you to the top

At :31. How do you get back up there if you didn't drop the chain down. I can't find my way back up there to drop the chain, but I was up there previously. I need to fight the Drake, but the chains not down.

Thanks, but I still have no clue how to find this. I’ve completed everything in the game, besides this area. I see the question mark on my map and I since it’s the on,y place that I’ve never been to, I know where I am supposed to go. But the map doesn’t help; this game almost has the worst map in history (jedi fallen order has the worst map, then control has the second to worst map).
The god of war map is annoying. This area can't be reached until later after you open the dam, and flood the area. Then you can get there by canoe

Go to the main island where that ogre is when you first enter the area. He is throwing crap at you from the island. From there you can get to the area by jumping across the water with your blades
