"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." And made man in His image. Is that therefor make God man? We do in fact bring GOD down to our level. VERY unwise.

God created Adam first, then made Eve from Adams rib. He made man first.

@Scott Cannon hi Scott thanks for your input but I'm going to ask you to go back and read...YHWH created Adam. He said he created all land animals and brought them all to Adam to name...
Adam saw there were none like himself.
YHWH laid Adam into a deep sleep and removed a rib from which HE made Adams help mate, EVE.
      The first "marriage".
Eve was Adams partner gifted be YHWH.
There were not two being rose from the dirt in which YHWH breathed life.
      Only one first...Adam
      Much love to you Brother

@Scott Cannon we all fell from Glory by sin.
Adam was not tempted, he was made in YHWHs image and sin had no power over him... interestingly enough it was Eve (created from Adams "RIB") that was beguiled by the enemy and brought the tempting to Adam... Adam coincidentally was tempted by the flesh, that's why they covered their naked bodies with leaves. Remember that's when death was first introduced to paradise. When YHWH slaughtered the animal to cover Adam and Eve in the skin of the slain
Sorta how we who are in a personal one on one are covered our sins in the blood of Yahshua H'Mashiach.
It is truly the greatest TRUE story ever told. Don't you just LOVE it!!!!
HIS merciful blessings be with you and your loved ones. Looking forward to meeting you when we go Home🤗🙏

@Scott Cannon You type the Truth, The Only Pure Truth...the Word which is obviously written on you heart by the Holy Spirit.🙏
      Praise YHWH.
There are a lot of luke warms.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people say they are followers of Yahshua...but TOO MANY have never read The Word in prayerful wisdom.
Most can regurgitate a verse or ten, but could not tell you the entire History surrounding the teachings.
Too many have read Moby Dick, War and Peace, etc...(just to graduate H.S) but have never read The Word.
That's Satan trying to interfer with our individual one on one with our Father.
I started reading the Bible when I was in 1st grade (Southern Baptist....and all which that entales).
I memorized Psalms 23 at age 9 and had to recite it out loud before Sunday (yes Sunday) Supper.
I had to memorize and recite Matthew 1 (lineage of Yahshua) to receive a metal from Sunday school.
I have read all the words.
But they were just words ....
It wasn't until March 23 2005 (the date the old sinner passed away and a new creation was born) that they became the living Word from my Elohim...My Father.
Reading His Word (the Word is Yahshua) he shows me new things when reading the same passage, that I was not previouslyprepared to understand...it's so wonderful to hear from a Brother who understands these are not just words in a book.
These WORDS are an audible conversation with my Dad and my Brother.
It's the most amazing gift known to mankind and so many have never even read it.
      Crazy!!!!
Much Love to you and yours Brother Scott.
I look forward to joining hands and Praising Almighty YHWH with you when we go Home.

      What an amazing gift...
We can see The Word Prophetically Perfectly revealing right before our very eyes.
We know what is happening in the crazy world, we know what is to come, we know why it's happening, and we know how it all turns out.
      Hallelujah Praise Yahweh God Almighty!!!
There is no fear. Fear comes from not knowing.
Fear is a trick of Satan, the author of confusion.
We darn our full armor, read the Word daily, we are gifted by the endwelling of the Rauch HaQodesh/The Holy Spirit...
The gift Yahshua sent to us, His beloved at Pentecost.
      I Love you Brother Jay.
We'll be seeing you when the Shepherd calls His sheep.
When he separates the wheat from the chaff.
When YHWH tells Yahshua to go claim His Bride.
      See you very, very soon.
      Hallelujah.

Not American, not arguing, just pointing something. The bible has three official languages: Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek, but mostly written in Hevrew. In hebrew the word for God has no gender. When each country was eventually allowed to translate it, they had to adapt the text and because the didn't have the exact translation for a genderless pronoun, they decided to use he/him to keep it simple.
I don't care about gender politics, I don't know enough about the world to judge, just sharing some info. :)

I believe our creator is genderless. How are we as humans gonna sit and proclaim the the creator of everything, every atom, every male and female being, all the beings that have no gender, the wind and the sky,the water and soil, going to say the highest being has something as earthly as gender. That never made sense to me. I believe the creator is both masculine and feminine equally. I kind of have this theory that that’s why they made female and male, it’s like the creator split the 2 aspects of themselves into us as beings. That’s why when they come together we get creation. Just a little theory of mine though 😊

Clarifying matriarchal from patriarchal spirituality can begin with a fundamental understanding of the cyclical nature of reality (God).
Represented by the snake in many creation myths, the living cycle has a trinity of a beginning (head), a middle and end (tail). As above so below, the sexes were created in the image of God's cyclical nature where Mother is the head and opening to all beginnings and Father holds the tail to all endings (through which the sowing of seeds allow for the next great matriarchal rebirth). The joining of the two (symbolized by the Ouroborus or the marriage ring) is the sacred union needed in assuring the creation and continuation of new life cycles. To speak of the present day God as "Our Father" is simply an admission to our collective positioning within the bigger cycle.
As all mothers have direct experience with the creator quality of birthing, so is the direct experience of rebirthing the divinity within (baptism) belong to that which is spiritualy matriarchal. (John 3, verse 3-8).
Sekhmet statues (ancient Egyptian) carry most of their weight in symbolic memory of what was a mother culture dedicated to the direct experience of baptism. As the leg shaped hairlocks extend from maternal breasts to the womb of rebirth, the lioness's head proportions are such that they highlight the bust of a second animal figure. The Lioness's ears as eyes and eyes as nose (nostrils) brings to life the figure of a reptile. 'Neath the halo headress of the solar egg, the lioness's egg fertilization process being internal (Set) and the reptile's egg fertilization process being external (Setting), such being key components to the safety of entering the trans-egoic or "born again" state. The life threatening fear associated with the predatory nature of a lion and/or crocodile encounter are reflective of the intense ego death experience associated with the transpersonal awakening process.
In spiritualy matriarchal times, illumination could be seen as wearing the false beard (ancient Egyptian funerary ego death mask) as the high state of cyclical self knowing; high cyclical awareness of both our upper matriarchal half and our lower (later) patriarchal half (compared with a mini lower body replica, an "as above so below" tail end beard extension); in full recognition of her civilizational Underworld; her inevitable cyclical destiny. The male pharaoh wears his beard tapered in reverse, indicating a pointing upwards towards the patriarchal head, divine representative of God's tail end cycle.
Mary Magdalene's anointing and wiping of Jesus's feet with her hair can then be seen as head to tail (toe) imagery as she descends her matriarchal head to his patriarchal feet, thus reenacting the high understanding of the divine cyclical process. (John 12:3)
To carry the Ankh (now the female symbol) was perhaps to symbolically carry that upper and lower understanding. As the upper matriarchal womb symbolised the fertile birthing of civilization, below, the now Christian cross is carried to place emphasis on the lower (later) "End Times" Father principle of the great cycle.
Ganesha, the elephant headed Hindu diety, displays a cyclical head to trunk symbolism and points to the Mother head of his matriarchal elephant society. Ganesha (like the elephant) wears God's cyclical nature on his face.
A whole temple was dedicated to Hathor (ancient Egyptian diety) who is the matriarchal "Uterus" personified. th-cam.com/video/J0m0zJSEFK0/w-d-xo.html

When on earth, to describe the Reality behind and within existence, Jesus deliberately coined the term the "Father" when referring to God. This was done for two reasons.
Firstly, when Jesus received enlightenment in the desert, Jesus was enabled to see that the concepts describing the Creator of the universe as "revealed" by the Jewish Prophets are completely wrong.
Secondly, Jesus was given to perceive clearly - and fully understand - the true nature of the Creator and Jesus realized that it was a nature of parenting - of fulfilling the needs of creation in clear-cut, specific ways which were synonymous with those of a father-mother. Indeed, Jesus saw that the parenting impulses present in all living creatures had been drawn directly from the Creator, and that the origin of all love and parenting drives was also the origin of life and existence itself.
Jesus also "saw" that creation was a visible manifestation of the Universal Creative Impulses of Being, and therefore humankind can be termed the offspring of the Creator.
For this reason, it was quite natural for Jesus to speak of the "Father" when referring to the Creator, since, to Jesus, this is what the Creator truly is in every way - more especially "Father-Mother," but having regard to the Jewish insistence on the woman occupying a subordinate position in their daily lives, Jesus referred only to the "Father" to avoid Jewish resistance and to gain their acceptance of the new terminology.
Jesus also coined the term the "Father" to help the Jews realize that their concept of God and the rigidity of Jewish laws are totally erroneous. Also, by using a new terminology - the "Father" - to describe the Creator - the Creative Impulse - behind and within existence, Jesus made it clear he has brought an altogether new teaching in opposition to the accepted belief in God which rejected certain people and sent disasters upon them as retribution.

The question has no relation whatsoever with the current transgender ideology. The question is about God, gender ideology is about people. Using that verse from Genesis to draw a conclusion about the 'gender' of God is dragging meaning into the verse anyway. The verse DOES say something about people. We come in two flavors: male and female. Period.

All of the references and titles of God, are MASCULINE pro-nouns. You will not find a single reference to God in the feminine. First the Father, an obvious one. The Son is another, The Holy Spirit is always mentioned as a He. God is always mentioned as He, Him, His, Himself etc. Its very clear in scripture to me. Ive heard christians quote that verse an utter things like " maybe God is our mother also" To which I cringe, because how can anyone who has read the Bible even come out with that sort of thinking? A big influence of this sort of thinking has stemmed from that heretical movie " The Shack". Mix that with the radical Feminist movements, The Jezebel spirit and many other factors. No wonder this is becoming an issue. If God, being the author of His Word, describes Himself, and wants us to refer to Him as The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit, with all 3 of these persons in the God Head, all Hims, Hes, Himselfs, etc. Its not hard to come to a conclusion " you know what, I think God is male". This is also not me saying male is better. So ill shutdown anyone whos already thinking that because their offended. Im merely speaking to the topic. Is God genderless.

Good teaching, Dr. Brown. I just wish Judeo-Christians would stick to what the scriptures actually say and stop imposing their ideologies and agendas on what is written in plain sight. GOD ALMIGHTY identifies Himself in some aspects as Israel’s husband and Israel’s father. There is no confusion there. Yeshua the Messiah also referred to ELOHIM as Abba or Daddy. He taught the disciples to pray, “Our Father, Who is in Heaven...” The Apostles referred to this same GOD of Israel as, “The GOD and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ...” so again I am trying to understand what it is people are struggling with other than their own hang-ups. One of the things I love about the teachings of Orthodox Judaism is that there are certain things you don’t question. GOD is GOD and His ways are higher than ours and we will never fully understand Him. He chooses to be identified as male, just like He chose to be identified as the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Israel (Jacob). It’s His Sovereign and Divine Prerogative and we have to accept it as it is.

I think the best thing one could do is let the Scriptures speak on their OWN TERMS. It absolutely does the Scriptures an injustice when we approach them with modern eyes. When that's done, you get questions such as "Is God Transgender?" (Well He does TRANSCEND gender sooo.... there is that.) But even still we must always be ready to give an answer with meekness and respect (1Peter 3:15)

There is actually an entire sort of study to this and much has been written on it. This is of course correct what Michael has explained, and it is also very important and fundamental. I've read a few writings on this and this is the basis, when not adhered to, for why there is error in the church, and to a much greater extent, the secular world regarding anything about gender, order, families, sex, roles within various institutions of humanity, and even parenting, and the list goes on. If you do not grasp this basic concept, then many mistakes can and will be made. I already see some in the comment section who clearly don't understand this important aspect of God which provides the basis of understanding of his word, and even stuff like natural law. This in essence is at the root of even the argument regarding women "preaching" in the church. It gets very simple to answer once you get this biblical lesson that ironically is the very first lesson taught in the Bible.
In this post-modern age this is one of the definitive lessons that the secular, pagan world is attacking. It is the essential argument of "did God say...?" You tear this, and many other aspects down, and a society will always collapse, inclusive of the church.
Dennis Prager, among many I know of, did a really good video about this that everyone should listen to. It's vital that this lesson is understood.

This answer is a good response from the argument presented by the members of World Mission Society Church of God, a so-called church based in South Korea which I have learned that they already have adherents in the US, who claimed that the concept of "God the Mother" is biblical since Genesis stated that God created male and female in God's image, and since God has a male and female image so therefore God's "male image" is known as God the Father, then the "female image" can be identified to be "God the Mother."
Then they also mentioned that when God said, "...let US created humans in OUR own image..." they conclude that the plurality of God is referring to God the Father talking to God the Mother instead of the mainstream view that it is the Father interacting with the members of the Trinity, who is the Son and the Holy Spirit, when they were planning to create humans.

    • @DavidtheNorseman
      @DavidtheNorseman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Except AJ that in the first part of his response he agrees with them! He claims - using backwards logic - that because God made them in his image it necessitates God having Female characteristics. It is sad.

    • @AJsoment95x
      @AJsoment95x 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I understood that he said that God may have female characteristics as stated in the Bible, but just like what I am saying, there some groups of people that thinks that that there is a so-called "female image" of God, and that image is a separate being apart from God tye Father, whom they claimed to be the "male image" of God on the other hand, so there are 2 separate beings of deity, God the Father and God the Mother. That's what they believe to be.
And I am sure that Dr. Brown will totally disagree on this kind of theology.

    • @DavidtheNorseman
      @DavidtheNorseman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@AJsoment95x AJ except that by saying God has female characteristics he is saying God IS female (or a hermaphrodite of some sort). This is a pandering to society which he is free to do, it's just disappointing. The first part of Dr. Brown's statements reaffirms everything that those who want to worship "The Goddess" could ask for................ I do find it ironic that in an age wherein everyone is supposed to self-identify as suits their fancy the only person this is not extended to is ... God ! Who as the Father, the Son and the Spirit self-identifies as a "He". He obviously loves women as he made them and they too are made in His image as much as is common between Men and Women - and note it is required to execute murderers of women as of men since God considers either an assault on His image. Women are also made in the image of Men as is clearly stated. Women were part of the Creation that after it was completed God called "Good". If God is as female as he is male as Dr. Brown states in his first part of this video then your friends are quite correct to worship God as male or female - and by the same logic as a hen for God's hen-likeness must be deduced from his imagery of saying that "as a hen gathers her chicks...". Sigh. In the West we seem to be at the End of Our Age if it is not the End of The Age..........................................................
