    The cows looking on and thinking; “Four Wheel Drive is junk...”, these humans need “Four Leg Drive...”

      We often think the same. Deer, dogs and more cover such tough terrain!

    Stuffed up a good paddock

    I have to say this is the greenest I've ever seen Australia. This looks like the countryside in the UK.

    Nice and green down there

    That poor paddock

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It certainly got a quick turn over. It was actually more like a swamp and with the work that the cattle give it, there will be no signs at all that we were there in a couple of weeks.

    I love off-road huge passion of mine and my hobby is my own TH-cam channel. I've got my balls kicked in a few times reviewing new Toyota's. I wish I could get my hands on some of your Australian vehicles, but we have to wait 25 years to import them to the states. Just picked up a 1994 FJ80 with triple lockers a couple days ago.

    Great video. The lift on 360 LC makes it look very unstable?

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah we got them to drop the rear down a little. It wasn't unstable but just looked out because they raised the tray also.

  • @Hammy1TV

    This isn't a off-road video, this is a infomercial.

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      😂 well at least that's feedback. technically though an infomercial is a very distinct endorsement with a deliberate call to action mentioning the price and where to buy it. At a stretch the product sections within these videos could and should be referred to as editorials 😉

    seems like you still had road pressure in the tires

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      definitely seems like it, that section of grass was just slop. We had the Iveco tyres at 17PSI and the others were on 20. Going lower would not have helped, it was just so wet and slimy.

  • @donkeymarco
    @donkeymarco 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It lloks like that maybe were needed tyre chains for that extra slippery zones.

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was definitely tough conditions, so wet and slippery. In Australia chains are actually considered un-environmental. They need to be carried in some snow areas as law but they are not allowed to be used anywhere else. They just cause too much damage, so we just turned around and went another way!

    Was any weights put in the winch bag ? Also someone was in the danger zone whilst winching , other wise a good vid

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Especially with synthetic rope there is no need to add weight to the winch damper and this was definitely a case of lost traction not beached vehicles, so the weight of the recovery was minimal and there was no risk of the rope breaking but the required precautions were taken.

    • @andytoms409
      @andytoms409 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@4WDTV thinking there is no risk is what catches people off guard. I no they are synthetic ropes and soft shackles but they still can break

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andytoms409 Thank you mate, really appreciate your attention to detail and especially safety, hence the blanket and gloves, clear directions and safety precautions we always take. Apologies if we were not clear in what we said, the implication of saying there is not risk in no way contravenes the overall safety aspect and potential for danger. If we took that literally then we wouldn't have used a blanket, gloves and taken any precautions, but we did. hence the statement of 'no risk' simply means that given the precautions and safety practices we had put in place, the chance of any injury occurring was minimal to insignificant to even zero. With that said, synthetic rope can break but having limited weight it has very limited energy and no potential to cause harm. But you are definitely right and precautions should be taken as it is the metal pieces in the cycle that can still cause harm.

    might want to consider adding hearing protection to your equipment while using the petrol powered chainsaw.

    Long wet grass always gets any 4x4

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The grass was one challenge, it was the 15cm of soggy bog holding the water beneath the grass that really screwed us.

    Bet the landowners are pissed what a mess

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the concern mate. She was a real mess alright. But the property owners were very pleased we were there and were not concerned in the slightest. The area damaged was very small and considering the swampy nature and the current cattle traffic, all sign of our visit will be gone within a few weeks. The entire area was well chopped up before we got there and it won't take much for it to settle back in. Considering we chopped up around 50 m2 of a 1700 acre property, they have had no hesitation in inviting us back for more and they even commented on how we did far less than what they were expecting. The reality is that we did nothing more than what the place gets during a normal work week of vehicles and cattle and in fact likely far less damage on our part.

      I live on a property very similar and believe me a paddock that wet will never return to the way it was. They will need a bigger tractor on that part of the property now lol
