Out of nowhere this moved me to (not unhappy) tears the first time I heard this, about 10 minutes ago. Absolutely beautiful. Such pretty playing and a lovely voice.
Just rediscovered this band. Loved their debut album back in 1989. Totally lost track of them after that until today, almost thirty years later! This song is beautiful and the stunning video by Karen is breathtaking. I love the colours. So sorry I didn't keep track of the band for so long. It's wonderful to have found you again. oh then you have to go back and get all the recent past releases! They only got WAY better after '89. I'm actually not so crazy about their really early stuff. The things they are doing now/recently are just incredible. So incredibly beautiful and insightful.....and the melodies are exquisite. Karen's voice is like a little innocent girl and it moves me like no other voice.
Their children are playing the strings on this - thought the strings sounded great, but then it's their own children! I heard this from them in a live broadcast of three of the songs on this album.

I'd recommend picking up their 2nd album Umbrella from 1991 and working your way through. If you do... you're in for a beautiful musical journey!
