Great video! I have the Comica Combo kit on order. I think this kit is an absolute steal. The sounds needs some adjustments in post. Might use it this weekend on a project.
Didn't buy the predecessor because of beeing 24bit and not having a shotgun+bodypack (wireless go style) kit. Would love to see such kit using the bodypack with a lav, with a grip and an inbuilt omnidirectional mic as a reporter mic or with the shotgun in a m/s config... Please do that comica!
I think this is a bargain. And it sounds great, coming from someone who covets and owns quite a few pricey mics, e.g. the DPA4017B. I like flat sounding mics as it gives you a blank slate in post. These sound nice and flat to me, especially compared to the very hypey Deity D4. Just getting quality 48V wireless connection will cost as much as as this whole kit if you wanted to make say a NTG3 wireless. And you get wind protection too! Especially interesting how good this sounds given the use case and placement of a short interference tube mic in this video isn’t really optimal. Very little comb filtering heard…great result.
hmmm the features are amazing and i think i will get the set but the sound is veeeery muffled i think. It is fixable with zynaptic unfilter but the sound could simply be better
Great video! I’ve been looking for a new shotgun mic for a documentary I am making soon. Are there any good options that are under the 100 dollar price point that you would recommend?
If you are doing quick interviews outdoors at wedding with guests no cable is best way to go + safety recording. ! If you doing podcasts or interviews in one place with boom pole than yes. Its made for specific places and occasions, so not you or not me are right. The right device is meant to be used in right way.
The Comica sound horribly muffled in the high end. Speech is much more present and pleasant on the other microphones. Great features. But not much worth without good sound quality.
I checked the compare on different types of headphones and speakers. I prefer the Comica over the Deity mics without post-processing. Sounds more natural on small speakers (many TVs, phones, mobile devices and crappy in-ear and over-ear headphones). The Deity sounds to shrill in this regard. I always process my audio, then the Deity would be preferred. But i expect it to be pretty easy to improve the highs with the Comica. 32-bit is lovely as well.
In two days ❤ can’t wait to test it out
Cant wait for it to arrive after 3 days
Great video. I've got some Comica lav mics that are great!
Thank you for your likes.
A silicone skin for the receiver would be good
Good idea! I will recommend that feedback to them.
I'm going to buy the comica 🤝

Id go used in that price point!
Rode VideoNTG + Rode Wireless Pro combo is a more expensive but better sound and features from a more trusted brand.
The audio can clip within the Rode Video NTG microphone before it reaches the Wireless Pro, making the 32bit float useless
with all respect, non of them. I think the best budget mic is Audio-Technica AT875R. It's absolutely beast for their price. What do u think?

A Sub $300 mic doesnt fall under the "budget category lol
For videographer unfortunately it is
