Man, that turned out great! Gotta admit though, I was yelling at my phone the whole time, “ solder the wires or use waterproof connectors! “. I believe that the purpose of that extra wire is so the daytime running light can run brighter when your lights are off. So it would be brighter during the day, and then at night when your lights come on, the intensity goes down so it doesn’t over power the headlights. I could be wrong, but I think that’s how it works. Im glad you got everything hooked up and working, that startup sequence is wicked. This video did confirm something for me though, I’m not messing around, just gonna break into my stash cash and go for the full enchilada! Just gonna bite the bullet and go with the Morimotos. No messing with extra bulbs or anything, just straight LED. I’m dreading taking apart the front of my truck though, such a hassle to put in a headlight. Anyway, enough of my rambling, thanks for the content, truck looks good, have a good weekend!
😂 😂 thanks! I didn’t think about that, but I’ll definitely go back and use the water proof connectors! I actually already have some too! Yeah I read up on it afterwards and saw that about the wiring harness but there were no instructions included which is still weird to me.
Those morimotos!!! I wanted to myself, but the price stopped me in my tracks!! But I guess it’s worth it to have built in LEDs; you just plug them in and go! You’ve gotta send me a picture when you get them!!!
@@MeAndCarKeys , yeah it’s crazy that nobody includes instructions anymore. I felt the same way about the Morimotos until my brother put them on his 2015 F250, then I was sold. Thank you brother. Great video, very well explained and filmed. I have a set in glossy black, the lux series for my 22 and was curious about the wiring because like you I did not see any instructions in the box. The only thing I might suggest to you is to wrap those connections with some good 3M tape. Ideally solder the wire because the crimp connectors always become a source of trouble later on.

Those came out really nice......love the start up.......On my 98 z71 Im changing everything on the front......I’m gonna put in different lights with a different grill......I’m the same way when it comes to halogen vs LED bulbs.......LED are much better.......😁

You should go for it! It’s not as hard as it seems. Just follow along and you’ll be fine. Also, Disconnect the negative cable on the battery before you start. Any issues or questions just hit me up! I’ll help where I can

Hey man! Did you ever figure out the point of tapping in that extra wire to the fuse? Had me wondering why it was “optional” I’m about to install the same and was wondering what tapping into the fuse did? Lol I’d avoid it if I could
I was told it was for the DRLs to make them brighter in the daytime. Im not sure if it’s actually needed or not but I just hooked them up anyway to be sure. Lol! Let me know what you end up doing with yours. thanks for watching!

Hey you did a great job, hey I have a question one of the lights wasn't working when you try the lights on. What was the reason why it wasn't working, my low beam don't come on, so I'm wondering if is something simple the I have to do to fix that. Can you let me know what you did to fix that, if you don't mind. Thanks
Thanks a lot!! One of the bulbs was plugged in backwards. I flipped the plug on the bulb and it worked just fine. Unfortunately had to uninstall the entire housing to get to the bulbs. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps!
Hey thank you for answering my question , hey I'm having a problem with the low beam lights, they don't stay on, for some reason, they come on for a second and they go off, but sometimes they come on and they stay on, but one i turn off the truck they go back to not work again, why do you think tvatis?
@@aescobar11826 sounds to me like it may be a wiring issue within the housing. Have you reached out to Alpharex about it? They have great customer service!!

this should work with a 2020 model right? also, does the auxito include the low and high beem led set or seperate? first time ill be doing an led upgrade on aftermarket headlight set as well. thanks
The 2020 headlights are shaped differently, they extend longer. here’s the link: amzn.to/3vQIu9Z
The Auxito H7 comes in a pair so you’ll have to order 2 sets. They are exactly the same for high and low beam; the projectors in the Alpharex housings are what allow more light to pass for the high beam’s to be brighter. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the question. Let me know how it goes

How are the lights working? Which is better Alpha Rex or Anzo?
The lights are working great! Still working fine. I can’t speak on the Anzo, but I like these Alpharex lights better because they have the sequential signal lights

Did you swap the turn signal bulb to Led as well?
No I didn’t. That’s the only bulb I haven’t switched because I wasn’t sure if it would interfere with the switchback on the housing.
Any issues tapping your Grille into your lights? Been reading a lot of forums that it may interfere with the light as far as function. I installed and had an issue unplugged grille lights and no issue. Thanks.
I haven’t had any issues with the grill lights. I tapped into the park/marker lights in the front. The Alpharex uses the same park as the stock, so it shouldn’t interfere. Where did you tap your grill lights?
@@MeAndCarKeys I did the same. But my AlphaRex came with a new park light so did not have to swap. Maybe I should try to keep the old one. I appreciate the response and found your site about a week ago. I appreciate the input and videos.
@@DemonAngelTag no problem bro! Ok, gotcha. Maybe you got the upgraded Alpharex headlights? My only issue is that for some reason, my grill lights only come on with the headlights at nighttime which is strange because the park lights are always on. So I may run them to a fuse instead so that they’re on all the time when the truck is on.

Yes I added the H7 LED bulbs from Auxito.com. From experience, these are super bright! Auxito even says that these are the brightest bulbs that they offer. Let me know how it goes for you! I’m here if you have any questions. Here is the link

@@MeAndCarKeys How have these been since install? It's been a year since the video. Could you give me a 1 year quick review? Did you have to change bulbs?
@@Illitterit I would suggest the Nova series only because they have LEDs built in already, but they are pricey, which I why I went with the pros. They are holding up great! No issues with the bulbs at all. The only issue I had was with the wiring in the passenger side. A few months after install I had to go back in and tighten up the connections. It’s been working fine ever since. Thanks for the comments! I will post an update video soon on these
