Great stuff! I like the new anthology style videos. Just shows how much quality content you have been putting out over the years. Thanks for answering my question too! I am all pumped to go out practicing! Just 4 more months to wait for summer 🥲
I'm at that stage now that last summer I was practicing coming in from the trapeze while entering a tack. It's really cool when it works out. My biggest fear in trapezing is when dropping the rear foot down on the hull, a wave knocks my foot off. It hasn't happened yet but is a concern especially because I mostly solo sail.
For more stability while fully extended out on the trapeze, if you have a righting line (Hawaiian System) hike out with it behind you, at about waist level. That way if your sailing and plough into a wave for example, instead of being flung forward (and the consequences of being Peter Pan) you can hold that line tight to prevent lurching forward. kind regards,
@@JoyriderTV my crew uses a short rope through toe strap at times to avoid Peter Pan and/or separation during bearing away--he likes it but am thinking that perhaps I could be kinder when bearing away hahahaha
You do an amazing work of divulgation on the cat, your videos teach me a lot and I go riding every summer with my HC 15 faster and faster! Just a question, on this video at 1:52 you are hanging on a trapeeze on a boat that seems like my HC15... but with boom! Is that another boat or you change the sails to the HC 15? Also trampoline and sheets are different but the hulls are definitely of my beloved 15

Thanks! I'm glad that you liked it.
Keep up the good work Joseph!
Thanks, will do!
I'm getting the Millennium Falcon rigged for trapeze this summer. It's been a few decades so thanks for the pointers
Fastest ship in the galaxy! Yes!

Yes, it's tricky, especially when on a beam reach. Unfortunately the only solution is to power up enough to lift the hull a little.
Nice video! I don't sail catamarans but this might be useful for my laser 2 that I sail solo.
Yes, I'm sure there will be some takeaways from this that you can apply.
Thanks for the video! Planning on going out on the wire on my h17 this spring.
Good luck!
Great topic…I hope to get up the nerve to try helming on the wire this summer
I think starting with the half position - try it in the most comfortable wind possible - just enough to feel the hull lift a little.
Excellent video
Thank you very much! I'm glad that you liked it.
@@JoyriderTV I needed it this is the stage I’m at. Trapezed for the first time last weekend.

Great tip there, thanks!

At that time it's a Hobie Pacific - like a bigger version of the 15 - see more about the boat here: th-cam.com/video/X2B6a5Wyj7I/w-d-xo.html
Can you have a harness and buoyance vest in one??
They used to exist but i think you can't get them any more
