One thing they failed to mention about James Jett of the Raiders, he was a part of the 1992 summer Olympic 4 X 100 meter relay team that won gold with Carl Lewis running anchor for the team.
Nice to see Devery Henderson get some love, I discovered him on madden 04? Where he was the 5th receiver for, like 67 overall but a 96 speed so I always moved him into the starting lineup. Notable omissions that came to my mind; Az hakim, John Ross, human joystick, any receiver the raiders reached on in the 1st round over the years.
"Speed" is such a broad term. It is the way the various elements of speed are used by the WR that make them effective. There is first 20 speed (quickness off the line, think a cars 0-60 MPH), 2nd 20 speed (elite top-end speed, think a cars MAX MPH) and then there's the 10-30 speed (the speed at which a car jumps from 20 to 60). A WR ability to "vary" their speed during routes is an extremely important skill that is often overlooked by so called "professionals". "Yup, John Ross runs a 4.22, he is going to be elite. Nope, Jerry Rice ran a 4.6, not sure about this guy"...Evaluating speed and how it is used in this way helps figure why John Ross and his 4.22 couldn't be DeSean Jackson even though DJax ran 4.35. It also explains how 4.2 guys like Moss and Hill CONSTANTLY got open deep even when defenses knew it was coming. Moss would constantly hide his speed on decoy routes to fool the DBs into doing something other than turning around and sprinting down the field, quite similar to a poker player "slow playing" a powerful hand, and foolish/dumb/uninformed "analysts" confused this with being "lazy" and having "effort" problems.
Big Facts man. Another person who didn't have a long career but had this same effortless speed was Jacoby Ford. Go to his combine 40. Dude ran 4.28 ...with a straight face
Would add that Moss would hide his speed on decoy routes, quite similar to a poker player "slow playing" a powerful hand, and foolish/dumb/uninformed "analysts" confused this with loading. All while he lead the league in scoring all the time.

Wish DJax would have stuck around in LA this year and got himself a ring. Such a fun player to watch across all his stints with different teams. He’s good for one or two deep touchdowns a season regardless of how old he gets.
What made DeSean special was how well he could track the deep ball without losing speed. He could have been amazing at Center Field too. Jackson and Hill have that explosive speed versus a guy like Moss or Rice who just have effortless speed and just pull away from guys
Cliff Branch, James Jett, Rocket Ismail, DHB, Ruggs, Willie Gault, Warren Wells. Raiders have had some of the fastest receivers of all time. Always seemed to find them and pick them up when Al was running things.
Sam Graddy, Alexander Wright, Dokie Williams, Malcolm Barnwell, Jacoby Ford...I remember those early 90's teams were called the Santa Monica Track Club in pads.

Jerry Rice might be the fastest WR ever in the 3rd and 4th quarter because his incredible stamina allows him to keep his top-speed for all 4 quarters whereas other db’s lose theirs as the game progresses.

Deebo might break that 50+ yard 20 TDs sometime it’s unlikely but if all people it’s him
If Hester is on here as a WR, Deion should be also.
Hester was WR.
Mike Quick, Duper and Clayton, receivers from THE GREATEST SHOW ON TURF, Harrison and Wayne, Andre Reed, Run and Shoot Oilers receivers
Duper 10.21 100m is the fastest player you mentioned. Unfortunately he is not in the top 20 fastest players in NFL history by actual measured speed.
man brandin cooks was rolling with the saints
And then traded a million times
Speed does kill
Ikr. Think of Henry Ruggs
BOB HAYES#22 .. RANDY MOSS#84 .. JOEY GALLOWAY#84 ..
PS: OL'🐐👑JERRY RICE#80 NEVER GOT CAUGHT FROM BEHIND ..
That's the point. Never got caught from behind.
Darrell Green caught Rice from behind and Terence Newman caught Moss from behind.
No mention of Bob Hayes or Renaldo Nehemiah, both of who owned world record times in track.
Bob Hayes is the 4th guy mentioned.
@@raymondrizzo284 Well, don't I feel stupid! 😳
@@markmaz56 You should.
Deshan Jackson was number 1 in my eyes with the speed and cuts
Jerry Rice is the slowest receiver on the list..4.64
Once I saw Jerry Rice on the list I turned the video off.
Huh, thought I knew football pretty good, but honestly, I'd NEVER heard of Devery Henderson. Ever. Feels like a Mandela Effect
Don’t forget Deion Sanders
CB
Bob Hayes was so fast, zone defence was created because of him
D-JAX!!! 🦅🦅🦅
nice list but you forgot Jacoby Ford
I swear Brandin Cooks with like 7 straight 1000 yard seasons still feels severely underrated.
Great Video NFL Throwback 👍💯
I was looking for Darius Heyward-Bey but I guess I was wrong
I expected to see Calvin Johnson at some point honestly, disappointed he wasn’t on the list. If you don’t think Calvin is as fast as 80% of this list you’re crazy
True but he is not top 10 fast. Neither are most of this list.
@@sydboski you don’t think calvin johnson is fast bro??
@@jamcam12 Never said he wasn't fast. But he is regular guy fast. There are world class fast guys that played in the NFL and all of them are faster.
@@sydboski word, I feel it. I feel anything under a 4.4 40 is fast
@@jamcam12 Unfortunately the 40 does not measure the top speed of the players, it only measures quickness and partial acceleration. Because the fastest players do not reach top speed til about 50m out. They are still accelerating at the 40yd mark. So the 40 cannot possibly determine who is the fastest especially when they are not even running their fastest.
So I've never considered Rice a speed receiver, but even so no way in heck was he faster than Megatron!!! Along w/other WRs on this list 🤦🏾♂️ What type of list is this 🗑
3:30
DJax could be a Super Bowl champion right now, but his pride got in the way.
You mean Chip Kelly got into the way.
@@sydboski That too. But he was on the Rams last year and left because he felt he was being underused.
Y’all just have to add Jerry Rice to every WR list??? The dude ran a 4.7 🤦🏾♂️
Two absolutely goated Vikings players on here 😈
Neither is too 10 fast.
@@sydboski who tf asked u bruh
In my opinion Tyreek Hill is the best in MODERN nfl history for being very explosive
Joey Galloway the Ohio State University in 1995 1st Round 8th overall by Seattle Seahawks but i still believe he deserves one super bowl ring like for real 5:39
DeSean Jackson is the man. 💨
Damn James Jett was so fast and made it look effortless
I know it’s beating a dead horse mentioning this, but it’s so crazy seeing guys like T.O, Randy Moss and DK Metcalf moving so fast at their size. Literal freaks of nature.
Don’t sleep on Calvin Johnson, 4.35 in the 40
@@cordellthomas7768 I can’t believe I left him out lmao. He’s probably the 2nd fastest out of the 4 and weighs the most.
DeSean Jackson always have always was always will be a tremendously terrific speedy receiver in the NFL a 2nd Round pick out of University of California by the Eagles he was a special young player with dangerous speed going deee for the ball and score i know that he didn't go to his 1st super bowl to win a championship but one way or another i do appreciate him but man i certainly wish that he was rewarded a ring on other teams besides the Eagles what a career he had thank you D-Jack 2:44
Everyone forgets about that man Don Beebe that played for the bills... he had a 4.21 40 time
Facts.
But did u see the video of Prime walking him down?
th-cam.com/users/shortsU1GTNUqjg-Y?feature=share
Those 4.1s were fluffed hand times. So was Beebe's 4.21.
Randy Moss is the fastest of all time!!
Tell these fools, plz.please. Moss.
@@coachYte Freind, .my dad said, he'll take a big fast man over a small fast man, how in the hell is Bolt 1 on 1 going to catch Barry Sanders on a football field ? , I usually don't listen to kids born in the 90s, who was Don Manerd, George Sour, Emerson Boozer, 1 on 1 your going to tell me MJ could handle AI on the court, i gave away Bart Stars autograph for real. MJ sent me a jersey he wore in a game, I signed it an sent it back. Son look at the times,, ! bedtime for you, 9 pm sharp. I didn't call you a liar, I just say stupid. Coach of what ??? Lmao.
@@coachYte And that's all you need to know, u just said it, I think you need to know more. Coach of what, tell us plz, can you do a 2 point 2 turn ?.
@@chopperchopper1418 This video is about the fastest. Not the quickest playing football. Fastest straight line dragster fast. That said Moss is not in the top 50 Fastest players in NFL history.
Irving Fryar, Rocket Ismael
Time for the speedy Cornerbacks!!!
Antonio Brown is big time missing but this video is only 4 days old. The man was a beast and maybe the best at what he did before the craziness.
Best and fastest are two different things.
Randy moss is the GOAT hands down
Terrell Owens, Michael Lewis, Hollywood Brown, Donte Stallworth, Henry Ruggs, Tim Brown, Jerome Mathis, jacoby ford, Bob Hayes. Jus a few names that I can think of rite off top.
The only ones that should be mentioned are Jacoby Ford 10.01 100m and Bob Hayes 10.06. No e of the others ran faster than 10.49.
Ron Brown?
Jameson Williams
SO MAD we will never know what his 40 time is!!!
DJAX!! 🦅
