Moose Shed hunting with a dog and training a labrador retriever to be a shed dog.
This is how I trained my labrador retriever puppy to find shed antlers. The quality of the old footage is poor but the original story is rich and worth telling. Do you let Gracie chew on antler pieces or smaller spikes/forks? Some people seem to think you shouldn't let a shed dog have an antler as a chew toy..just curious your thoughts. Thanks!

I don’t let her chew on the nice ones of course but everything else she can because they are either old or already damaged so they are going to become dog chews anyway. I always keep a bunch of small ones for her and she loves hauling them around but she really doesn’t chew very much, when she does she prefers the crumbly old ones lol (they are hers after all)
