Greg, you need to do a book aimed at troubled kids and their parents. I think you are the epitome of proof that all kids, if understood, can be something great. It's a shame that so many parents fixate on school grades and inadvertently funnel their kids into a troubled adulthood rather than encouraging them to find what they love and letting them go with it... less emphasis on school, if it truly isn't their thing -- it's not for everyone, but they can still make something exceptional of themselves with the right guidance and understanding.

Greg, I love everything about your mom's oasis. She mentioned she wanted to get rid of the stamped concrete. Personally, I love the look. Why does she want to remove it and what would she have you put in its place?
i would love to do this with my 16 yr old. he has spacial dyslexia and has found nothing but challenge and upset in schooling and now they are pushing him towards college, he still can not read or write functionally and they are worried about tests for college. he's a smart boy who's physical challenges with his eyes have put him behind, i work with him on practical projects teaching him to cook, build, repair, consider and act accordingly he was vital in many landscape and remodel projects and finds joy in it. my first experience with aquascape led me to this channel and i watch dreaming of the ability to take a similar path. i'm disabled now come'n on 20 yrs, after 15 yrs of trying to keep big pharma and closed minded medical practices from killing me my family moved us to denver, five years on i'm finding life again, still have challenges of my own but wont stop ever for myself, my wife, my five kids and my friends. this next year determines our place be it here in colorado or back in our home state, either way i know once we arrive at a place of our own (attempting to buy our first home) the first order of business is to find the nearest aquascape seller and get started. thank you for the videos and the inspiration!
