Awesome ! Am I correct in saying instead of a skimmer we can install an aquascape intake kit that catches debris and at the other side of the pond we install the aquascape Wetland filter kit ? thats it ! No bioballs , filter media or uv lights ? If this is true I see how this setup would be very low maintenance.

Koi ponds need bottom drains to a sieve and external pump to continually remove koi waste that sinks to the bottom. Nice shape to this pond and good landscaping though.

If eliminating skimmer and going with intake bay and wetland filter where would the overflow go when it rains hard . Do you have a kit to add to the pond for overflowing .

Only if I could afford team aquascape. I'm trying to build me a pond now and it's been hit and miss. I have to start all over again because where I'm putting the skimmer collapsed in. The only spot I have is into the side of a very steep hill. So it's back to the drawing board.

I watched this several times. A few steps missing. Where’s the pump? I assume reuse, but at least show where it’s at. How did you insert the line? What’s the purpose of the wide pipe going up? I assume overflow, but it could bypass the filter entirely, thus reducing cleaning ability.
