Apart from some wording errors, well done, this laptop basically is mines,almost identical internal, I think you can drill a hold wide enough under the laptop and run the usb adapter through it and close up the laptop properly.
But again this will be if you have no use for wifi or use a usb adapter and you definitely don't have a desktop.

I have this exact same riser but I only have a six pin for power instead of the molex but the gpu doesnt send signal the the monitor.

It should work you just need to unplug you wifi card and put the egpu connector

i have an issue with may riser it won boot up after restart, can you help me fix the issue that i encounter
some slots are only capable of usb 2 not all are wired for pcie operation.
that is why some wifi+blutooth card do not work (they use pcie for wifi and usb for bt)
I tried a very similar adaper on an old Dell Inspiron 3420 and a Lenovo B490 and none worked. I know the card is good because I tried it before and after the adapter and it works fine, but the adapter doesn't seem to work at all. Maybe the mini slots are not pci-e but standard pci... who knows :( Cheers!
@@rick9021090210 I tried another version which is miniPCIe to PCIe x1 on even older laptops from 2006 and it didn't work either. I've no idea what's wrong exactly, the adapter? The laptop bioses? It's stated that all generations of pcie slots are compatible both ways, so I'm genuinely confused.

Should work fine as long as you mini pcie connector and reasonable power yes. You'll still need a external monitor to work from GPU though keep that in mind also there will be a bit of latency with this because it's usb3 and not as fast as Pcie lanes

@@khayyam741 no you need external monitor because GPU feed goes to external connectors otherwise you'd only be using igpu otherwise there may be some GPUs that work if they don't have external connectors but still you won't find a gpu without external connectors that benefits performance and latency

in the bios check wifi boot on boot options .and install gpu driver .that will fix your issue...!!!

I have done tested but it doesn't work, every time i turn on the laptop blue screen will appear it say ACPI BIOS ERROR. I have test in my two laptop asus a43s and tosiba satellite L840, the gpu that i'm using is gtx 750ti

No I don't touch anything in bios but i heard in some laptops you need to do something in bios but first try without touching anything and if it will display in device manager it's working just installe drivers and it's okay

Yes it will work. My laptop has dedicated radeon r5 gpu
you have to make sure that if you have integraated nvidia you have to make sure that the driver from the intergrated is compatible with the external gpu so like same model 10xx or so for example or you need to uninstall the old driver and install the external cards driver
