I loved this video. I like how you are not afraid to showcase MAME and work with Roms. I think that a lot of youtubers consider those topics taboo because they really don't want the stigma of being called a pirate. However a lot of these games would not be playable without MAME and we really need to archive gaming history before it is lost to time.
For real. I know this is a 4 year old comment, but I STILL see plenty of TH-camrs that wanna act like emulation is a bad thing. Even when they do it themselves. I've seen the Game Grumps do it, for example. They tried to play it off like it was a normal game, until they saw a mouse cursor in the corner, and then they're all "Oh, well... We OWN the original cart, but it wouldn't work. So we emulate. LOOK, we don't emulate much, ever, we prefer to use real games."... Meanwhile another video showed them using an emulator on a Wii, and it had a massive list of games on it. Like, sure. Yeah, you don't emulate. MHhm. Like, emulation is convenient. Sure, I get it the idea of collecting physical games. I get wanting to play on real hardware. But don't like it's this big taboo thing that you're not allowed to do. Honestly, despite things like Nintendo's Virtual Console, or just old game compilations (hell, Bethesda just came out with one)....No one really cares if you emulate. I own a bunch of GBA games, and a real SNES with an entire box full of games. But I'd rather load up an emulator on my Xbox. It's just easier. Just select a game from a list and click play. Add onto that, the use of shaders to emulate old CRT TVs, easy to access cheats, auto-fire controls, save states, and so many other features (even online play in some cases)....Why wouldn't you want to emulate? It's 2021, act like it.
It's not piracy because these games are not sold anymore. Many of these games could be lost forever without people who dumped them and uploaded to the internet. It's fair use for non-commercial hobbyist fun and preservation purposes.
Goung through my MAME favorites list here. Of the lesser known games, I really dig Act-Fancer, Asura Blade and Asura Buster, Blade Master, Brave Blade, Cybattler, Cyvern, Dangun Feveron, Dark Edge, Dead Connection, the Mahou Daisakusen series, Elevator Action Returns, Gaiapolis, Gallop - Armed Police Unit, Dark Seal, Gate of Doom, Gunforce 1 and 2 (precursors of metal slug), Guwange, Hyper Duel, Kageki, Monster Maulers, Lady Bug, Land Maker, Numan Athletics and the sequel Mach Breakers, Martial Masters, Metal Black, Metamoqester, Metamorphic Force, Mystic Warriors, Night Slashers, Osman (spiritual sucessor to Strider), Psychic 5, The Power Instinct Series, Psyvariar, PuLiRuLa, Rabbit, Raimais, Rohga Armor Force, Shadow Force, Sky Fox, Sol Divide, The Outfoxies, Toukidenshou Angel Eyes, Trio the Punch, Warrior Blade Rastan Saga III, Wonder Momo, Xexex and Xybots.
My dad has an original Prop Cycle arcade cabinet at his house. It's in his living room and functions as his exercise bike. There are not that many of these left. Takes up a lot of space but any kids that come over love it.
Here are some more great games for Mame that some may have never heard of: PuliRulLa by Taito (Unique cartoon style fantasy fighter with great graphics) 64th Street: A Detective's Story by Jaleco (Fighter similar to final fight but unique, many breakable objects which contain points/food) Black Tiger by Capcom (Epic side scrolling platformer with weapons/armor upgrading and Zenny coins to buy said weapons/armor) E-Swat by Sega (Robocop inspired action game where you play as a cop that eventually graduates to an E-Swat robo armor wearing cop with machine gun and special weapon abilities) Prehistoric Isle by SNK (You control a biplane in this shooter while fighting hoards of dinosaurs and cavemen on a tropical island, features unique shooting mechanics and giant dinosaur boss fights) Peter Pack Rat by Atari games (You play as Peter the pack rat collecting all objects in the levels to bring back to your nest while avoiding all sorts of dangerous creature and characters that want to do you in) Flicky by Sega (You play as a little bird known as Flicky who collects all her chicks while avoiding cats who creep the levels then brings them to safety, very fun game) Domino Man by Bally Midway (Domino Man features the same character you play as in Tapper only this time he's setting up dominoes while avoiding the Bully and other creatures and characters who threaten to knock down your dominoes, at the level end you have the choice to knock them down or leave them up continuing stacking them into the next levels for a bigger bonus when you finally do decide to knock them down, classic fun).
+Roscoe Jones the Anime came out shortly after the Pokemon craze in the US....same with Digimon. The Game however, came out in like 1996?97? Idr, but I loved putting random CDs into my psx to create new monsters.
I have been looking for years the Boogie Wings game. I played it on arcade in the 90's but never remembered the name of the game to download it. After a lot of time searching all around the internet for the name of the game, today i arrive to your video and casually here it is: Boogie Wings. You made me happy today. Thank you, you won a new subscriber.
Just wanted to say THANKS A MILLION or showing off Launchbox Bigbox on here. I just recently got into MAME emulation, and I've hated dealing with MAME64's barebones UI, especially when you have a lot of titles. Bigbox's ultra sleek UI, wikipedia/Emumovies metadata scraping, and unbelievable level of customization is definitely well worth the $20 pricetag!! I definitely would've never found it had it not been for this video! I'll definitely be using it as the go to front-end for all my emulators now. :) (oh and that's also a nice list of games, I picked up quite a few of them after seeing this!)
GStream G2020 has been released on Xbox 360 and Steam as Delta Zeal by Triangle Service and Degica respectively. More information: th-cam.com/video/lyWyvCD9P4E/w-d-xo.html
I love all the region free shmups Cave has that is possible to import and play in the states. There is a wide variety not that I can pronounce half of them lol. Its a genre I hold very dear to my gaming heart.
OH MY GOD!!! I've been searching for Boogie Wings for years... I used to play this all the time in an arcade near my hose, back in the days, and I've wanted to replay it for a long time but i didn't knew the name of the game. Thanks a lot man.... you're real heavy metal
Very informative! It was these Hidden Gems videos that led me to subscribe to your channel in the first place. I'm always on the lookout for MAME games so I would love to see a part 2 to this.
One thing the Hidden Gems are great for is finding some new and fun to play, Just fired up Fast Lane on my Mame Cab and what a cool game! Love it thanks Jason!
MJ I don't know how you did it, but I haven't played any of these. I spent my childhood and teenage years in arcades and have been playing MAME for nearly 20 years. I thought I'd seen it all. Hidden gems for sure.
People always talk about Steel Empire. Where's the love for Pro Gear? I find a lot of lesser discussed arcade games. Back in like, 2015, I downloaded a massive 11,523 game set. Now, naturally, a lot of those are alternate versions from different regions, and revisions. But still, that's at least a few thousand unique arcade games, easily. I lost my computer not long after that, and only just got a new one. So I've been going through the list. I have MameUIFX, so I'm just scrolling through, clicking on one that sounds interesting, looking at the screenshot, and if it looks neat, I load it up. If I like it, I add it to a Favorites list. It's a lot of fun to do actually. And it's nice not having to rely on other people for lists. I just recently found 64th Street Detective Story, a kinda generic, but still fun beat 'em up. Also plenty of shooters. I swear, at least 1/3 of my 11.5k games are shmups.
Welp, time to add some new games to Launchbox. Awesome video man! I recommend Ninja Baseball Bat Man, Trog, and Butasan. These are some of my favorites.
Thank you so much for the great recommendations (as usual), it's great that the genres are so varied. I love all the colorful ones, they make me happy (really). I hope you make a sequel as soon as you discover more games you like. Thanks again!
Go Go Mile Smile is also my favorite Mame game. My son and I have been playing it for several years now. The concept is great and I just love the music.
Here in Spokane we have a vintage arcade/toy shop. The Jedi Alliance or AKA the church. $10 all you can play. They have Willow and that game still holds up as a solid side scroller.
I would recommend checking these two out three wonders: midnight wanderers (platformer/shooter) a bit like metal slug but with co-op and fantasy theme, got very nice graphics. The game is called Three wonders but then you got 3 games inside the game where midnight wanderers is the platformer and then there is a shooter as well and a puzzle game. Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara(Beat em up(with some weapons etc)) - might not be a hidden gem since it got a few rereleases lately but its worth checking out if you have not seen it yet. Amazing graphics and a lot of things not so common in a beat em up like Weapons, armor, magic. even a inventory!(kinda). Its also co-op by the way.
Nice to see someone else likes Monster Farm Jump, I've loved that game for years. I'll nominate: Aqua Rush (1999 Namco), a Tetris type game where you can extend your little pieces to make lines with bubbles. Bal Cube (1996 Metro) a breakout/Arkanoid game but instead of controlling a paddle, you control the ball movement itself. A very fun twist on the genre. Landmaker (1998 Taito), another great puzzle game where you shoot pieces to create buildings as you battle against an opponent.
Metal Jesus I used to love oils well and the second I seen miles smile I was like awesome!!!!! I actually came here to mention it but you did it for me.
Smash didn't come out until six years later, (so if anything, Smash would've been inspired by Outfoxies) but I can definitely see Rolling Thunder in there.
Well I recently discovered this game and I've been having a blast!! I didn't finish it yet, but I definitely see a bit smash 64 in this, though it came out two years before the N64 was even released
MONSTER RANCHER HOP-A-BOUT! I used to love that game as a kid! So glad you included it in the video. Had no idea it was an arcade game, also didnt know it was called Monster Farm in other regions.
Thought no one was going to call this game by its real title launched for PlayStation 1. And kinda disappointed that Metal Jesus didn't mention this either, lol. Thanks for pointing this out! This game has been a great part of my teenhood! 💟😍
Still have my physical Release of Muchi Muchi Pork/ Pink Sweets bundle thats regionfree in my collection on xbox 360. I think most of Cave's shooters on the 360 was regionfree.
Hey thanks for covering games in Mame. Respect from /r/mame. A fun game I can recommend (not sure how much of a HIDDEN gem it is though) is the C.O.W.boys of Moo Mesa. I always recommend it because the animation and silly details in the game are lots of fun. It's a side scrolling shooter that is based on a short-lived tv show and toy line.
@MetalJesus, I remember Prop Cycle, I saw one of those in an arcade once here in Australia, tried t, I was much younger then and didn't fully get it. It was a niffty idea though.
Monster Farm Jump is part of a series called Monster Rancher. It's a game series where you raise your monster to fight in tournaments. This particular game was released in the US on the PS1 under the name Monster Rancher Hop-a-Bout. And that thing you're controlling is called a Suezo.
I remember playing Prop Cycle at an arcade in a casino in the late 90s. The arcade cabinet was cool because you were elevated on this bike and it would blow air at you. I think you had to turn by tilting the bike. The fan would blow more air the faster you pedaled. Very fun game.
On my first holiday with my parents (like 20+ years ago) we had a major delay in Rhodes (Greece), we were given free boarding in a hotel and I sneaked out at night to check out the hotel. I saw a guy emptying one of the arcade arcade machines, he signalled for me to come over and he gave me a huge pile of coins. I played snow brothers for hours :D I'll always remember that!
I had a Hyperspin setup, that kinda died off, now I use a Raspberry Pi for most my retro gaming. Hearing of Launchbox is intriguing. Thanks for the plug. Great videos, keep up the work. I watch them at least twice a week while at work/working out.
Man, please play Asura Buster. It is one of the best fighting games ever made, NO EXAGERATION. Other really good ones are: >Dan-Ku-Ga -A version of the already awesome Kaiser Knuckle, leaked by a developer after it was sadly canceled. It has more characters and more moves, but some minor glitches in the UI. Its mechanics are great, but the some moves are kinda hard to do. Also, the boss of this game is considered the hardest boss ever made for any fighting game, so don't expect to finish it. >Agressors of Dark Kombat -From the devs of World Heroes, its a beat'n'up-eske approach to fighting games. It is kinda reallistic, with the cast mainly composed of angry japanese teen hooligans. Not a great game gameplaywise, but a fun and very curious one. >Rage of the Dragons -A pseudo-sequel to the Double Dragon NeoGeo fighting game based on the movie. In this one, Marion dies and Jimmy blames Billy, exiling himself so he can train and come back to beat him up. It is a tag-team fighting game with amazing mechanics and awesome character designs. >Martial Masters -I am not particularly a fan of this one because I think it looks kind of generic, but the sprite-art and movement is such a amazing achievement I always feel like it should be more appreciated. >Osman -The only recomendation thats not a fighting game, Osman is a bizarre arcade-only pseudo sequel to the first Strider. Yep, STIDER. Osman was made by the same developer, who fought with Capcom by that time and went to a small dev to create his own, really bizarre, sequel. The Akira-like OST is great. Please thumbs this up so Jesus can see the list, guys. :)
I remember playing a vertical shoot em up game on an arcade machine in a laundromat years ago. You could choose your typical fighter jets but I'm pretty sure there was a special Spyro knock off character you could choose. He was the same color as Spyro and even had fairies assisting him. Haven't been able to find the game since.
Fantastic Collection. Each of those 10 games look addicting. Older generation games may not have the graphics of a game today however they do have something most games today dont have.---> Addictive gameplay. I think many games today focus too much on graphics. Thumbs Up!
Also a willingness to try something different there are some very strange things done in arcade games. Hell even more so than older consoles but even those had some wild concepts. I really miss the out of the box thinking but yeah it does not make money. You got to appeal to the masses and I think that is one big barrier that prevents video games these days from being more of an artform. To be fair I think the same thing happen to music and movies long ago for the most part.
I remember the prop cycle at the arcade games I used to go when I was akid, almost nobody played it because people usually ended up very tired of so much pedal, I remember it because to play it you sit on a bicycle wich acted as a plataform that raised up or down depending of the high you were flying in the game.
MetalJesusRocks. I love your Arcade machine man,is it a computer or actual Arkade, because if it is how do you put games on it? :)....and btw this kinda games have a special place in my heart, since I'm an 88,started with famicom in 96(first grade) than i got ps1 the smaller version the moment it came out and so on playstation guy and also a pc(for shooters and games wich are better played with mouse). I recomend for you to put TMNT 2 in your arcade if you haven't already. 4me that was the main game on famicom :D
Muchi muchi pork is available for xbox 360 bundled with Pink Sweets. It was only released in japan but it´s REGION FREE. I own the limited edition that came with the soundtrack cd. Highly recommended. BTW one of the best MAME shmups to check out: Armed Police Batrider, it´s amazing!
There's a game similar in concept to Susume! Mile Smile called "Anteater", in which you control an anteater's tongue getting inside a maze, getting the ants with your tongue and avoiding other insects
The shooter at number two is called Delta Zeal in English. That's probably why it seems so obscure. I actually bought it from steam with that name, it has leaderboards and everything. I wanted to add The Cliffhanger: Edward Randy is really something. Not sure if a lot of people know that one, but it's a real technical marvel for '93ish, or whenever it came out. There will be aabout a dozen sprites on screen sometimes, and its a beat-em-up! Definitely, definitely worth a look if you haven't ever seen it.
I've never played any of these games before but they look like a blast. It really makes me want to build a MAME cabinet... I just need space for one first!
I'm surprised I haven't ran across Boogie Wings before! There so many damn games MAME supports your always finding hidden gems. I actually played prop cycle a few times on the original cabinet in the local arcade back in the day.
nice selection! probably played it, but I'm going to add Three Wonders, from Capcom 1991. 3 very fun games in 1. A platformer, a shmup, and a puzzle game. definitely one to check out
Have you checked out a game series called Bishi Bashi Champ? It's a wacky, fast-paced collection of minigames that utilize three colored buttons. Some spinoffs in the series use two joysticks (Gachaga Champ), a steering wheel and pedal (Handle Champ), and even a foot pad straight out of Dance Dance Revolution (Step Champ)! The games were ported to the Playstation 1 in the form of the Bishi Bashi Special trilogy, where they use Square, X, and Circle instead of the familiar red, green, and blue buttons. It's really cool. You should try out the games on your MAME cabinet, but be warned, (1.) most of the games are three-player, so you'll always be playing against a computer in those games, and (2.) Step Champ, Handle Champ, and Gachaga Champ absolutely require the controls they are designed for, so you might want to try making other cabinets specifically for those games.
Sweet! That Monster Rancher Jump looks fun but my attention was drawn to Muchi Muchi Pork and Susume! Mile Smile I got Gunbarich on Mame but plan to get it on Switch in the future. Love this list
I loved this video. I like how you are not afraid to showcase MAME and work with Roms. However a lot of these games would not be playable without MAME and we really need to archive gaming history before it is lost to time.
Agreed
Also, nobody gives a damn if you pirate any games that is older than 12 years. Like seriously
For real. I know this is a 4 year old comment, but I STILL see plenty of TH-camrs that wanna act like emulation is a bad thing. Even when they do it themselves. True on all counts

Honestly, pretty much any Shmup by Cave. I haven't tried a single bad one yet. They're all on that same Muchi Muchi Pork level of quality and fun.
Agreed and the graphics on the newer Cave Schmups is amazing.
Pretty much the reason why I started playing video games in MAME is the abundance of anime styled games with stunning visuals and gameplay.
Nice to see you reppin' the Launch Box! I've been lovin' it. Combining it with an arcade cabinet sounds killer!
Hey it's Monster Rancher (Monster farm jump)
Matt skirble Phew, I am so glad I wasn't the only one to point that out lol.
Yeah, Monster Farm is the name of it in Japan. I thought I recognized that big yellow eyeball dude from somewhere
The monster is called Suezo.
Matt skirble Yup Monster Rancher (us). I was a kid when it came out in the states loved for what it was worth! I love anything anime anyway lol
+Roscoe Jones the Anime came out shortly after the Pokemon craze in the US....same with Digimon. The Game however, came out in like 1996?97? Idr, but I loved putting random CDs into my psx to create new monsters.

Please, you're giving me too much credit. I'm more like the Duke.
MetalJesusRocks More videos with arcade hidden gems please man
I love all the region free shmups Cave has that is possible to import and play in the states. There is a wide variety not that I can pronounce half of them lol. Its a genre I hold very dear to my gaming heart.
imo underrated game, love pretty much

Thanks a lot man.... you're real heavy metal
And you should really try OutZone... Love'd that game. It's really 90's
Man, you'll need to make a part 2 of this, and then a part 3, 4, 5...
+Magma MK-II thanks so much!
Seriously though, there's a crapton of awesome Arcade games that nobody knows that you can cover.

Anyone here for the thumbnail?
There can only be one...Meet me at mcdonalds. Leave your sword at home. All I need is a party straw and a zip tie. Immortal Mcguyver.
Heroic Defeat Thanks.
And it's Connor MacLeod by the way. I'll be there Captain.
not me, but I noticed it and I hoped that Metal Jesus could be better than that
Nah it was boring af, the stranded on an island thumb is way more sexy
Top cute'm up shooters!? would be a great episode .

Going to play Violent Storm when I get home! Just built a bartop arcade and I'm playing a random game every day. Keep rocking Jesus.
Go Go Mile Smile is also my favorite Mame game. My son and I have been playing it for several years now. The concept is great and I just love the music.
Wow! Several of those I've never heard of! I wish we would've got a home console version of Capcom's Willow, but MAME works. Same with WrestleFest
Please do another wrasslin video!
John Riggs: RIGG'd Games Yea, the NES version of Willow was ok, but not as good as the arcade.
Wow Violence Storm looks a LOT like Cadillacs & Dinosaurs?!
Nice list keep up with the vids.
Here in Spokane we have a vintage arcade/toy shop. The Jedi Alliance or AKA the church. $10 all you can play. They have Willow and that game still holds up as a solid side scroller.

Metal Jesus I used to love oils well and the second I seen miles smile I was like awesome!!!!! I actually came here to mention it but you did it for me.
Outfoxies is a hidden gem. inspired by rolling thunder and smash brothers, its a definite classic
Smash didn't come out until six years later, (so if anything, Smash would've been inspired by Outfoxies) but I can definitely see Rolling Thunder in there.

Thought no one was going to call this game by its real title launched for PlayStation 1. And kinda disappointed that Metal Jesus didn't mention this either, lol. Thanks for pointing this out! This game has been a great part of my teenhood! 💟😍
It's an interesting game, but are there many games in more genres? Thank you for your information in more time.
- Bullet hell
- Cute girls
- They a little chubby
- Pigs
10/10, best game ever made
Still have my physical Release of Muchi Muchi Pork/ Pink Sweets bundle thats regionfree in my collection on xbox 360. I think most of Cave's shooters on the 360 was regionfree.
I'm all about thicc anime girls.
I just got mine in the mail from Amazon Japan really looking forward to playing it.
This is the best channel to find obscure games.
Violent storm is one of my favorites and prop cycle was so fun at the arcade! I remember thinking how cool that stand up bike was for it
This is what I've been wanting. Excellent.MJ.
Just ordered my hardware to build this as well. Got a nice arcade cab that was being thrown out. Awesome! Your MAME stuff has been great MJR!
These are exactly the kind of games I LOVE to play. I will definitely check these out. Thank you Metal Jesus for sharing!!!
MetalJesusRocks, this "jumping creature" from the second game is called Suezo. He is a character from the cartoon "Monster Rancher".
+Jack Nixon I got shared on Reddit?! Nice!! Thanks for the recommendations too :)
Wild West C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa is essentially a cartoon retread of Sunsetriders.
I was trying to remember Mile Smile from my childhood, thank you so much
Wow! I think I'll be late to work and watch this video!
good thing I work at home, so I am "at work" :p
Metal Jesus, a bright spot on a sour day.
Cool, hadn't heard of any of these except Fastlane. I played Oils Well back in the day too, fun game!
+DaSHalpha yes!! Somebody else who remembers Oils Well :)
@MetalJesus, I remember Prop Cycle, I saw one of those in an arcade once here in Australia, tried t, I was much younger then and didn't fully get it.
It was a niffty idea though.
I LOVED this compilation! I didn't know any of those games!
Monster farm bouncing yellow thing is suezo ! Love that dude 😂
I live on the Jersey shore and our local arcade had the Prop cycle game. You actually pedaled and all. It's was a lot of fun to play
Good timing! I just started setting up a Retropie. This is super helpful 😊👍
Muchi Muchi Pork!! I have the Xbox 360 version that comes with Pink Sweets. I love that game!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us MetalJesus!
Other really good ones are:
>Dan-Ku-Ga
-A version of the already awesome Kaiser Knuckle, leaked by a developer after it was sadly canceled. It has more characters and more moves, but some minor glitches in the UI. Its mechanics are great, but the some moves are kinda hard to do. Also, the boss of this game is considered the hardest boss ever made for any fighting game, so don't expect to finish it.
>Agressors of Dark Kombat
-From the devs of World Heroes, its a beat'n'up-eske approach to fighting games. It is kinda reallistic, with the cast mainly composed of angry japanese teen hooligans. Not a great game gameplaywise, but a fun and very curious one.
>Rage of the Dragons
-A pseudo-sequel to the Double Dragon NeoGeo fighting game based on the movie. In this one, Marion dies and Jimmy blames Billy, exiling himself so he can train and come back to beat him up. It is a tag-team fighting game with amazing mechanics and awesome character designs.
>Martial Masters
-I am not particularly a fan of this one because I think it looks kind of generic, but the sprite-art and movement is such a amazing achievement I always feel like it should be more appreciated.
>Osman
-The only recomendation thats not a fighting game, Osman is a bizarre arcade-only pseudo sequel to the first Strider. Yep, STIDER. Osman was made by the same developer, who fought with Capcom by that time and went to a small dev to create his own, really bizarre, sequel. The Akira-like OST is great.
Please thumbs this up so Jesus can see the list, guys. :)
i always liked time killers for fighting along with killer instinct an MK
PROP CYCLE!!!! I FREAKING LOVED THAT GAME!! My mall arcade had this back in the day. Now I want MAME! :D You sir have great taste lol
Your hidden gem videos are my favorites.
I would love to get a MAME machine one day. This video is awesome!
an oils well clone, awesome - one of my all time favorite Atari 8 bit games.
1080p 60fps goodness haha awesome video MJR
Awesome video. Reminds me of the hidden gems videos you used to make a long time ago without the guests (which I kind of prefer). Great job!
Stagger was and until now one of my favorite Arcade shooters.
Agree with others on wanting a part 2, good stuff!
Im more of a modern gamer but u are really showing the retro games well.. keep up the awsome job
Real treasures. Not your ordinary generic games, they are original. Thank you.
Actually got to play prop cycle a bunch in a holiday park arcade in the late 90s. I would love that cabinet
I love the video! you don't see very many youtubers talking about mame or hidden gem arcade games. I would love to see a arcade hidden gems part 2!
To be fair I think the same thing happen to music and movies long ago for the most part.
all he is playing is roms he don't own the games he is playing
Great t-shirt bro thx for the sweet videos as always!
Hidden gems indeed, hadn't heard of any of these!
I remember the prop cycle at the arcade games I used to go when I was akid, almost nobody played it because people usually ended up very tired of so much pedal, I remember it because to play it you sit on a bicycle wich acted as a plataform that raised up or down depending of the high you were flying in the game.
Prop Cycle arcade booth also had some fans included to simulate winds effect. For having played on an actual one, this game is a blast.
I'd definitely check out "I'm Sorry". Great Music and a crazy and fun game.
Back in 90's i was living in Saint Petersburg, in Russia, and one of the arcades had Prop Cycle, it was very unique and fun. :)
Love that Acclaim shirt you're rocking!
Monster Farm Jump reminds me of Hedwig after the gods "cut us down again. We'll be hoppin' round on one foot. And lookin' through one eye!"
6:52 wow! Metal J is pretty good at shooters. Wonder if he has ever played 'Under Defeat'? That game has great mechanics, but is really difficult.
Awesome video!!
+algol291 I do play a lot of shooters, but they are tough sometimes :)
Any chance you will be doing a Nintendo Switch preview? Looking at pro's and con's type thing?
wow, this never happens.
I didn't know any of these games.
great work! thanks!
Thank you so much for boogie wings. One of my hobbies is collecting Shum'ups and Beatem'ups
A guy that reviews retro games & isn't annoying to listen to?? Love the video
Great video as always. I tried Go Go! Mile Smile that's a great game. I didn't think it was going to be any good.
TropicalPriest I have that one! Its awesome
Love your videos ! MetalJesus 😎😎
Steel Empire on the MegaDrive was awesome, it was my life for the better part of 6 month. Great vids. Peace!
Thank you for this fantastic video. Love those hidden gems.
I played Prop Cycle in the arcade. Its awesome and a good workout!
Monster Farm Jump is also available in Playstation, there was even an US release under the name Monster Rancher Hop-a-bout
nice selection!
probably played it, but I'm going to add Three Wonders, from Capcom 1991.
3 very fun games in 1.
A platformer, a shmup, and a puzzle game.
definitely one to check out
Like, comment and SHARE... lets get this guy to 1 million
I tried prop cycle for about 14 years ago in the swedish amusement park, Liseberg.
When you think you see an original game on mobile, you get to see that everything has been invented long time ago.
Great video.
Sweet! That Monster Rancher Jump looks fun but my attention was drawn to Muchi Muchi Pork and Susume! Mile Smile
I got Gunbarich on Mame but plan to get it on Switch in the future.
Love this list
Hidden Gems: 'Toki', 'Cotton', 'Cotton II', 'Galaxy Force II', 'Magic Sword', 'Willow', 'Japan World Cup 3', 'Boong-Ga Boong-Ga'.
