I updated to most recent, tried signing out and then back in, tried everything, and nothing. Basically if I leave Wi-Fi my phone is useless, Verizon said they fixed it...didn't..bill is paid...and nothing still.....does anyone have a legit way to fix this issue ?

Turning the iMessage on and off worked for me, but I’ve had this problem in the past and that method didn’t work, only resetting my phone did.

What if it keeps toggling off telling you to turn on cellular data but the cellular data is turn on??
This all happened after 17 came out andi haven’t updated.
This is bs that they force you to update or you won’t receive texts!! 😡

I even updated and it’s still giving me the same issue, no matter how many times I restart my phone, how many times I make sure my iMessage and FaceTime buttons are on but it says still they’re unable to be activated. Ive done everything the internet has to suggest n it’s still happening!

@@serenababy9234 - i got it to work. I toggled a lot of features off (including wifi), then turned off the phone waited 10 minutes and then once I turned it back on I could select to back on imessage. For some reason it also changed by itself to toggle on filter unknown users. I kept that one toggled off.

If you just got a new phone delete the old one from your account in settings and re set your phone

okay so my imessage will randomly turn off and tell me to sign back in, but when i go to the setting and look under imessage it says “send and receive” but it will kick me out of it every day almost then turn on, but i can’t get anyone’s text messages with out imessages, like what the fuck is this bs
