      What good could possibly come out of that? Let him teach many seminarians philosophy and theology, this is how the Church will be brought back to evangelical truth. Also, let many cardinals and the Pope humble themselves to listen to him.

      But I believe he made a mistake. In Humani genesis, Pope Pius XII gives experts permission to study the evidence that evolution produced the human body. Maybe evolution produced humanoid creatures before God created Adam and Eve specially. Genesis even seems to support that possibility because it says God breathed the breath of life into Adam's nose. Special creation allows for original sin. After all, if God created Adam and Eve specially and if there were human-like creatures before Adam and Eve began to exist, those pre-human creatures were nonhuman.

    • @jaspermay5813
      @jaspermay5813 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@williammcenaney1331 Pope Pius XII only gave _experts in natural science and theology_ permission to weigh the evidence for _and against_ the evolution hypothesis. This has happened hardly anywhere, even in supposedly 'Catholic' academy, during the great apostasy.
      As Pope Leo XIII taught, Catholics are to hold to the plain and obvious sense of Scripture, unless they can _prove absolutely conclusively_ that necessity requires or reason demands that they depart from it. If you can't or won't do this, any speculation is worse than meaningless.

    • @williammcenaney1331
      @williammcenaney1331 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jaspermay5813 I agree with you, Mr. May. But I'm confused because Hugh Owen emailed me to say that the Fourth Lateran Council requires Catholics to be young earth creationists. If that's true, Pope Pius XII knew what that council taught YEC. So I wish someone would explain why that pope let the experts study evidence that the human body evolved when evolutionists believe 10,000 years is too little time for evolution to produce a human body.
      There's another point I try to remember. The literal sense of a word, a sentence, etc. is the one the writer intended. You know that in St. Matthew's Gospel, Our Lord says something like, "if your eye offends you, pluck it out." So some Protestants told me they thought Our Lord meant that literally., that he would urge some people to mutilate themselves. Maybe he meant that we need to resist when when we perceive things that tempt is to sin. So the question is how we distinguish between the literal sense of a passage and a literalistic misinterpretation of it.
      I worry that young earth creationists may draw false conclusions from Genesis 1-11 because the interpret it literalistic ally when they should interpret it literally instead. To know the difference between a literal passage and a figurative one, we need cultural background information, That's why I remind atheists that 3,000 years from now, scientists may think 21st-century science is absurd as many atheists believe the Bible is now.

      @@williammcenaney1331 You've just "jumped the rails", wading into the meadow of subjective
      narrative. Pope John Paul II also allowed for the study of evolution [ knowing that any human
      inquiry into "the Big" topics, but NOT founded on Church teaching, would wander all over the
      globe] . . PROVIDED such inquiries did NOT negate the Doctrine of Original Sin.

    I was raised by atheists. In spite of that, before I was old enough to go to school I knew there was God. In spite of public schooling and no exposure to the Church, and having my head filled with the science of the day, my "gut" has always known we're not merely just organisms slowly mutating on a rock teeming with other organisms (that aren't nearly as smart as us for some reason) spinning in space.
    But I did know I would be ridiculed for pointing that out. Our society is so sick.
    Fr.Ripperger speaking this way is like a lighthouse in pea soup fog. What a relief! Its not enough for me to hear kumbyah we just need love, or watered down dutiful protestant ramblings, I'm coming home for THIS. The unapologetic truth. The Church uncorrupted, without the arrogance to think it knows better than God.

    I have started to learn more about the Catholic teaching when I started hearing FR. Ripperger about explaining all the spiritual warfare and demonic possession I have opened my eyes and leaned to God and have revealed a lot of things about myself and the world we live in. I felt God had find a way for me to find his message.

    "Upon this rock I build my church" actually is literal.
    Jesus called Simon "Peter" from the Greek Petra meaning Rock.
    Peter was the first founder of what became the Catholic church.
    Praise Jesus Christ. ❤

    That was way cool :) Alot of it, particularly Fr Ripperger's contribution, is consistent with secular philosophy of science and should come as no surprise to anybody which is why its so puzzling and frustrating that so much of the American public, including a lot of Catholics but also the mainstream press and educational establishments, is weirdly wedded to a naive theory of macro-evolution and its implicit progressive philosophy of history.

    Only the hosts in the Cuborium on the Coeporal can get transubstantiated Father can explain so we can communicate spiritually after frequent Acts of Contrition as Padre Pio said that the World can live without the sun but not without Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

      Please explain. The hosts in the tabernacle do not undergo transubstantiation? This has been a question I have posed before and did not understand how it could be so. At TLM are there no hosts in the tabernacle, only on the corporeal vs at NO the hosts are in the tabernacle?

    Thank you for mentioning God reducing our years. I had mentioned that in RCIA, and 1 of the teachers said," we can't assume anything, now can we!" I was confused! We interpret the Bible every day! I read it again, and still got the same message. Humans used to live hundreds of years, then God said we are of flesh and can no longer walk with us, and reduced our years almost immediately following that statement! That's not assuming, that's having the grace to understand!!!!

    I used to believe something like "evolution doesn't change an animal's nature, it only makes it more specific" currently I think this doesn't work fore the idea of universal common ancestory, but it does work very well with what "evolution" we actually see.

      The week long process is to convey God created things in an order within time. The earth is way over 10k yrs old. The bible conveys a story of God building things not all at once but in an order.

    This video and the other two Fr. Ripperger and Mr. Owen made at that church worried because young-earth creationism is too hard for me to believe, at least for now. But now I know the Church doesn't require Catholics to believe it. So please read paragraph 337 in The Catechism of the Catholic Church. It says that in Genesis, the six creation days are symbolic.

    • @kmjacik8904
      @kmjacik8904 ปีที่แล้ว

      As a believer you need to believe that what God says is true for God does not lie. Why do you find it hard that God could not create the world in 6 days? God can do anything.
      Evolution wants people to think we are a ball flying through space that came about by accident and we humans evolved from apes. We are not monkeys and we are not on a ball flying through space by accident. Gods words are true 👍
      Read through Genesis slowly, several times if you need to. God explains what he did. There is a firmament above, and the sun, moon & stars are lights that rotate above

    I don’t know the shape of the Earth but I know water runs down hill and finds it’s own level. The wind blows in every direction, we are taught that the Earth is spinning at approximately 1100 miles an hour. So if you go straight up in a helicopter and hover in place for one hour and come straight back down, where should you be ?
