Hey! So a lot of the explanations here are admittedly pretty accurate, and the shadowmute system isn't one we're happy with. As we've said before and you pointed out in the video, we've loosened it over time quite a bit from the initial implementation, but the amount of false positives vs. the ineffectiveness against actual bots is obviously not right. This has been a topic of discussion internally for a while, and we're planning to move forward with completely different systems that don't involve janky filters and don't interfere with actual players like this.
I know, "Soon™" is hardly the most satisfying answer, but it's the truth. Shadowmuting isn't our long term solution and it has already gone on longer than we wanted due to higher priorities coming up over time. It *does* do a bit more against some bots and manual spam than it may appear, which is the main reason we've kept it around at all and not just outright disabled it as you said. Hopefully this provides at least some reassurance that we're not unaware of the problem or refusing to seek better ways of handling it.

Y'know, you're a very intriguing person because one could make an arguable statement that you've had more impact on this game's removal of bugs/quality of life changes than any partnered creator. It's always hella fun seeing you dunk on other people in-game but you've also done a LOT for the sake of the game too.

You say this shadowmute system is not working right, but I'm pretty sure it cancels itself out: if the majority of the playerbase is muted, nobody is muted.

You should make videos shitting on deca, like that time where they put ogmur in a event chest and the ogmur had like 1/5 chances to drop for 10 minutes and people start posting screenshots of getting 2 ogmurs in a row on reddit, but the fun part its that it took DAYS after the event was over to Deca to announce it was a "mistake" (totally not a marketing strat)
or that time where the event chest didnt drop any whites at all (i think it was a OT christmas chest event)

This wasn't very exciting. I mean, the consequences were pretty minor, just a few minutes muted, as opposed to character death or scamming. That, and the only action that can be shown is literally text boxes. On the other hand, it was a very nice explanatory video on the topic, well done.
