  • My second bagless Miele to look at today, the Blizzard Parquet. Designed for homes with more hard floors than carpets, this model comes with an extra flexible parquet twister nozzle.

    Fantastic video great work!
    This vacuum is a bit outside of place for Miele I would say - Miele always has stood for no joke reliability, but here we have a finicky machine (gorgeous from the outside no one can deny that) but it has so many little meshes to clean and its such a high maintenance appliance. It ads a chore to your list of chores instead of solving them. Its not a 20second bag swap and you're off. Just not serious.

    Loved the video as always. Exceptionally professional. It is such a beautiful machine, but owners will Not maintain it, it will get trashed, and the visual mess just horrifies me no end. Buy a bagged Miele and you'll have none of that. Not that they won't nevertheless trash them. Nice things wasted on the wrong people. Superb video, thanks. 👍

    This is my second replacement Miele CX1 Blizzard Cat and Dog vacuum and I noticed on my first unit and replacement units that they seem to leak/ let dust escape from the bin itself when the vacuum is up right and placed on the floor. If you tap it or shake it a bit I’ve noticed large debris around the bin that have fallen to the ground around the bin area. Also, I have a concern with the air blowing out of the side versus straight up as this disturbs all the dirt that is on the ground pushing it up into the air and behind furniture defeating the purpose of cleaning. Let me know if anyone else who owns this vacuum has the same issue?

      Buy a C3, a Numatic, or a Sebo instead. Blizzards are literally the worst vacuums, they aren't made to last. The fact that these have "lifetime filtration" shows that they won't last more than 5 years. If you really want a bagless, maybe try a higher-end Electrolux/Aeg, a higher-end french-made Rowenta (if you guys have them there)

  • @bruniogregorio8241
    @bruniogregorio8241 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Miele also said the HEPA filter in my C3 would last a year. It lasted 6 months BUT I have to vacuum daily. I found out they base their machines off of being used for 1 hr per week.

    Why does the UK not have power nozzles for so many vacuums that are designed to have them? Carpet can’t be fully cleaned without high airflow and brush roll agitation.

    Why do so many vacuums in the UK not include a power nozzle? Most vacuums in the US come with them because they clean carpet drastically better than straight suction.

  • @vacuumnut8300
    @vacuumnut8300 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thank you Roger for the video. Wonderful as always. Looks like a powerful vacuum. I could see it lifting the carpet. Fortunately, the cat and dog in the US comes with a 228 power head which make it so much easier to pickup dog hair.

    • @stevejones1972
      @stevejones1972 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bissell do not sell full size vacuums in the UK any more, since the EU ban on noisy and power hungry vacuums came into force, as most Bissell vacuums would probably be considered above the 80 decibel sound limit imposed by the EU. Up until about 2014, we got quite a few Bissell vacuums to buy here, but now, Bissell only sell the Featherlite stick vac, and of course, they still sell carpet washers here in the UK. Since the EU vacuum cleaner regulations (2014 & 2017) came into effect, we get a lot less choice in mains powered vacuum cleaners here now, with cordless becoming more widespread and popular, with Shark, Dyson and Vax (Made by TTI, same as Hoover in the US) offering the biggest choice in corded and cordless vacuums.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bissell only do the featherweight and pet hair eraser hand held vac in the UK. They currently don’t offer and upright or canister models.

    Miele build quality is declining sadly. I have had two Miele washing machines which were indestructible. Both had doors made entirely from polished stainless steel. My current machine is approaching 16 years old and had developed a rattle when spinning, so I thought about buying a replacement. Soon changed my mind when I saw that all the display models in John Lewis had plastic doors that seemed incredibly flimsy in comparison, plus loads of features I would never use, presumably to help justify the £1200 plus price tags. Give me a solid but basic machine over a plasticky but highly featured one any day.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Miele washing machines are still better built than most. I plan to get a Miele when I need to replace my current machine, but I will only get one that has a 10 year guarantee.

    I don't really like this Bosch....i mean Miele cleaner. The C3 is much nicer in my opinion. Bought my parents a 1600w C2 i found in a shop that was clearing old stock a few months ago. They love it. It's ridiculously powerful. And so far, one bag has lasted over half a year. It's pretty full, but the suction is still great. I see no reason to go bag-less when modern bags are so good.

    • @robbedoeslegrand236

      In Europe a vacuumcleaner may only be 900 Watts since 2017. A 1600w Miele is not available overhere. And with 900 watts and a bag, the suction will get very bad very soon. Solution in Europe : bagless.

    I have this vacuum: exactly the same problem trying to release the brush forward - I still have no idea how to do it. Then, when in use it frequently releases and slips back of its own accord. Highly frustrating. Also, the vacuum seems to go irritatingly quickly into self-clean mode, sometimes after just a few minutes use, and then just as frequently thereafter. I have been very unhappy with this vacuum cleaner, unlike pervious Miele models I have owned.

    Hey Roger, hope your well. Just wanted your opinion on something. I recently tried a mates baggless miele( their newest one). It was all 800 watt machine and it was incredibly weak, it barely had any suction at all. I just wondered if you have found that top be the case as well.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have tested the latest Miele bagless and didn’t find it lacking in suction, but that suction will reduce if the filters become clogged.

  • @patrickdawson3960
    @patrickdawson3960 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    One point about the automatic filter cleaning device: Hoover's ridiculous Z machine used a similar mechanism, but it operated constantly while the vacuum was running, which always seemed pointless to me, as dust couldn't fall off and away from the filter while the airflow actively pushes it right back onto it. Miele's system shuts off the motor before engaging the filter mechanism.

    I was going to buy the Blizzard Homecare but since I have 6 pets I chose the C3 Brilliant. With the Gore filter being permanent, it would eventually smell like a wet dog whereas all filters on the C3 are replaceable. I’ve used it daily for 6 months and it doesn’t have any odor to it at all. I change the bag every 1.5-2.5 weeks, which takes care of most of that door causing bacteria. I’m in love with it.

    I was really glad to see you demoing a Blizzard again. I have one that I like very well for a bagless. It's the same body as yours, same black, which is the least expensive model in the US that will accommodate an electric power nozzle. I had to have it because of the novelty of a Miele bagless machine, and I don't regret it at all, to be sure, but I prefer the tried and true bagged vacuums, which Miele has come as close as anyone to perfecting. The Blizzard with a power nozzle works really well, performs just like any other Miele canister using the same nozzle under the mild conditions in my house. Obviously, I never subject it to the huge quantities of dirt that you pick up in the extreme tests; if I did, that performance would drop, as it doesn't keep all the fine dust in the bin. Always a fan of your amazing work. Thanks for this one!
