I saw David about a dozen times during this period. What an incredible performer one of the best ever... The shows are etched in my mind like they happened yesterday.
have the album, would love to see the full concert somewhere. All killer no filler. The Animals medley, the temptations, Box Tops songs, the raucous, paint stripping Personality Crisis. Fantastic!
That's cool, I was mainly interested in how you got your hands on that...But this David clip is even more appreciated because I so miss this era, and it is incredibly difficult to get vids of him from this time...THANKS AGAIN!!!
The Ritz (Webster Hall,) right? I believe we (having been married that year, that's my "second" Best Man, Tony Machine, on drums;) were sitting at a preferred table front & center of the rear balcony. Johansen was on a double bill with Sam Kinison. What a show! What days....
Amazing footage. Too many normie non-fans in the crowd up near the stage. When David puts the mic in their face, they’re yelling “Personality Crisis” instead of “Personality”. Ah, whattaya gonna do? Thanks for putting this out there. Flipping fantastic!!!
Yes this is not Pink Floyd or Phil Collins with his suspended 9th sharp 13 chords. This is high school, like junior high type of chords but done nicely like the Stones. Simple but Fun.

Haven't seen this since I was there! FYI front cover of 'Live It Up' comes from this video.
I seen this show at the Ritz w the Bangles opening i think? anyone else there?
I have always loved Bohemian Love Pad, and this is a belting version. Is this the performance that became the live album?
I was there.
Was this New Year's Eve 1981-82 or New Year's Eve 1982-83?
@@taffyterrier8420 81-82.
@@johnrockycanada2031 - Thank you.
Sorry, I had this confused (it happens at my age) with 1986, in which DJ was Buster Poindexter.
Hard to believe this guy turned into Buster Poindexter and did Hot Hot Hot
Definitely not The Ritz, but possibly the Edison Hotel Ballroom on W 47th?
If you just skip through this every 5 minutes or so you realize all the songs have similar changes and are in the same key. 🤭
And your point is 😊,rocknroll!!!!

Yeah, the gimmick thing with the hats. Remember that well.
Would be called a racist today if he performed Stranded in the Jungle.... 🤣
