- Hello guys! UPDATE from Philippine Immigration effective on September 03, 2023. Good news for selected family member who are exempted from presenting Affidavit of Support upon leaving the Philippines to Visit or re- unite with their family member abroad.
In this blog I present also the different degree of Family acquired by Blood or by marriage so you will able to locate yourselves kung saan degree ka kasali and for you to be able to know if you are exempted from the rules or not.

Ok lang po ba? At umployed po sya, bali savings nya po yng pang trip nya kasi birthday po nya. yung ticket at hotel at ako na po nag book for birthday gift ko sa kanya. Embassy sa lugar niya(abroad) or dito po kukuha mismo sa Pinas? Kasi pupuntahan niya ako dito sa Pinas para magkasama kami mag travel sa lugar niya. I'm a foreigner who just got married in the Philippines. And now together with my wife we wants to visit my country. I will support her trip. Like you said she didn't need to present AOSG at the immigration officer before her departure (because I belongs to a 1st civil degree - her husband). But like you said she will need an Invitation letter from me.
Because I'm already in the Philippineas can I make it locally?

Hello po, I’m a little confused kasi sa nilabas po ng B.Immigration, philippine embassy/consulate/honorary consulate daw po ang pipirma sa AOS. Same lang po ba yon with public/private lawyer?
Kapag sa Pilipinas ginawa ang affidavit of support need mo lang ng notary from Public and local lawyer.
Kapag sa abroad ginagawa and ung bansa hindi kasama sa Apostille convention first dapat notarized siya ng lawyer bago dadalhin sa Philippines Embassy , consulate, for Authentication. Salamat 🙂

Ma’am, I messaged the immigration via messenger. They said that the “supposedly” revised travel guideline that was release on 3 Sep 2023 was actually suspended.
The Immigration officer/representative stated and provided to me the old guideline (2015). Based on the 2015, the people who need to show or provide AOSG are those whose relatives sponsored their trip. Who are those: those who are WITHIN THE 4th affinity and consanguinity (with given examples on the statement) hipag, pinsang buo, hipag, bayaw.
Siblings are not mentioned in the list. So it is confusing for those na ininvite ng mga ate at kuya o kapatid kung magpprovide paba sila ng AOSG. Kindly help clarify this? Because since the revised one is SUSPENDED, therefore, we ought to follow the 2015 guideline wherein within 4th affinity/consanguinity lang ang minention na NEED NG AOS.

I see. @@HBvisaconsultanyservices . It is just a little confusing because of the words that was used in the travel guideline 2015. In that guideline, 1st degree was not mentioned na exempted (but in rthe revised na SUSPENDED, it was mentioned there. So meaning they are still basing it from the revised?). The words used po kasi is "WITHIN the 4th consanguinity and affinity",. In this case, I am 2nd degree. So dhwat happens to the 2nd degree and 3rd degree if what's stated iun the guideline is within 4th (e.g, hipag, bayaw, pinsang buo).
