      He isn't an actual fraud, it's his business model of quickly turning around car bought at whole sale. Sure he can fix those cars up but that would drive up the price and get rid of his targeted customers which seems to be people living in poverty. Kind of sad if you ask me, but if your broke, stick toyota and honda. They will save you a lot on repair bills.

    Why do plaintiffs always want to sue to get their money back on a car knowing they sold it to the junkyard? You can't get money back for something you don't even own anymore. Just boggles the mind

    Some people have no business buying a used car. There's a short and simple list of things you need to do to protect yourself. If you're not willing to do your due diligence, then it's on you.

    When I was a kid you could spend 300 bucks on a used car and drive it around for a year... Now you're lucky if you can find something drivable for three grand

      Not knowing how old you are I agree. Seems like around the time when carburetors were replaced by fuel injectors and computers were required to diagnose problems. I remember local gas closing the service bays because they no longer could reliably diagnose and repair the vehicles being made.

    This is a horrible situation- BUT there should not be a refund. My heart goes out to him. They both have wholesale licenses. What some wholesalers do is buy cars from junkyards or an auction- They fix them & flip them to another dealer.

    Even if I understand the "as is" sale and the plaintiff had a responsibility to have it checked out, the defendant is a sleazy car salesman. I think he knew the car was junk and I do believe I have seen him before on this show.

      He has been on the show before. It's at minimum two times. The first video I saw him on someone said he was here before, but I'm not sure if this current case is a re-upload or a new one (which would bring it to three times).

      Kelly something? The kennel woman? She was on at least twice. And also made her hometown news for a third incident where she lied about the circumstances when a dog died in her care. She has been on PC for an injured dog in her daycare and a puppy mill sale that fell through, IIRC.

    This guy is dangerous. This defendant has been on this show numerous times. He is a menace. Always has the correct paperwork to prove his side of things. This guy preys on innocent victims. Where there is smoke there is fire.

    Actually I feel the judge was wrong in this case. In New York, if the undercarriage is rusted or has holes in it it will not pass a New York State inspection.The only recourse is to replace the undercarriage or junk it. The seller should have been aware of the condition of the undercarriage and never ever offered to sell it to anyone without letting them know that the undercarriage was in such bad condition.

      She legally cannot undo the deal. Because the car has to go back to the dealer. And the plaintiff got rid of it.

    This was messed up feel bad for the guy and it's crazy the state should change lemon laws because someone is going to loss their life happy I don't drive and I don't know to many mechanic that would go with a person they don't know to look at a car or let alone get on the pavement to look under the car it's ridiculous thanks for getting the car off the road because he woulda fixed and sold it again knowing it's junk and dangerous smh people really don't care about life no more

    Poor kid so polite unfortunately he went to a guy who is all about making money on crap cars. I sure hope viewers see that this isn’t the first time being sued and stay clear of his place. Funny how the defendant was trying to weasel his way out by saying it wasn’t sold from his place then so surprised to have a copy of the original title all of a sudden. Shame on him for taking this kids hard earned money knowing he was selling him a piece of crap just like he is.

    When we’re taking about a truck/van there’s no reason not to look under it… it’s not like a lowered car. When we’re talking about rust, there’s no reason you can’t see it’s a rusted out beater.

    Frame rot is a big no no. In my state they can get a fine for selling a vehicle with a rotted frame. Especially a car salesman! You can sell for parts only! Not as a drivable vehicle. I edited to say- it should have NEVER passed inspection with bad suspension & frame rot!! Even in an AS IS sale! This plaintiff should’ve gotten his money back!! I love judge Milan but she was wrong on this one😢

    The plaintiff possibly could have won the case had he not already gotten rid of the car. Seems like the defendant jumped title, which could have been an out for him. I think JM was considering that angle.
    I feel sorry for the plaintiff. He is young (looked very young) and naive.

    Common failure point these Dodge vans frame rusts out and the steering gear box breaks free from frame. Car manufacturers use much thinner gauge steel than in the past. They don't last that long particularly in the road salt states

      when i bought an older used car, the first thing i did was lie down next to it and i had a good long look at the undercarriage. The muffler to the tail pipe were kind of rusted, but other than that it was a good car that just cost me $2,000. later i DID have to put several hundred into the talipipe etc., but it lasted for 5 good yrs....and then my aunt had to give up driving and gave me her car. Cheers!
