I came to write the same thing. My heart breaks for her. I wish these were not old episodes I would have loved to reach out and make a donation for her to be able to get a tunestone done for her mum. Granted she probably already has it done but if it was new episodes I genuinely would have found a way to reach out.
The resilience in this defendant is a standard we should all strive to uphold in our lives. Her loving heart amongst so much turmoil is a testament to her character!
Agreed. She brought a tear to my eyes. Specially at the end when she said, she'll still go and see him, kiss and hug him, even if he doesn't want it. And the wife not wanting to be involved speaks volumes. Perhaps great grandad is going through memory loss dementia etc. So, she is right, still love on him, and not take any of this behaviour to heart sis. Bless you all 🙏🏿🫶🏿
Someone very close to me, someone I had loved all my life, as had my parents, became a different person virtually overnight. We didn’t understand then that rage and venom were symptoms of the cruelest of diseases. I hope this family rallies to help Great-Grandpa because I think Great-Grandma is probably being put through enough hell.
Despite her lazy bum siblings, this young lady has dignity and respect for her great-grandfather. He is too filled up with regrets to see the beautiful lady she is.
This poor girl has been through the WRINGER! I feel so bad for her. Sounds like she’s the ONLY responsible one. And she’s STILL sweet to her no good family 🤦🏻♀️ I hope she’s doing better family wise.
20:30 “I’m going to go see him when I want to I’m going to go hug him when I want to” these words show how much love she has for him regardless of what he has done by bringing her to court. And that speaks volumes again proving she isn’t the type of person he made her out to be. I hope her mother is looking down on her in pride and smiling at the loving and respectful women she is.
Those remarks make her a better person than me. Regardless of the tongue-biting I did towards my own father in the end, I WOULDN'T tolerate his cruelty when it was directed towards my sister, and for THAT "insubordination", he REFUSED to say a final goodbye to me when he finally died....just one last evil act after a year of other, lesser cruel acts. 😐 I have no other words. The culture is hard to overcome. I'm the oldest daughter.
Cripes, this was sad af. That poor girl seemed to be left to deal with everything on her own. She's the only decent great grandchild he had and instead of cherishing her, he sued her. Just so sad.
I’m praying for all the people (including Judge Magoo) who blindly couldn’t see the defendant was LYING!!! That is so amazing to me!! (Before I get any comments back, I’m also “an Hispanic Granddaughter from a poor family!”) -ALSO, why didn’t JM ask the lady to put her phone on speaker so she could hear what the “grandma” had to say?? I thought that was very strange!!
This young Lady is the true example of what humanity should be about. Her resilience kept her heart safe of anger, and she is still able to express love with so much humility. So sad and so truly amazing.
The anger, The way he’s recounting an event with such conviction. Idk if it’s just because I work with dementia patients but to me, I’m definitely seeing signs of early dementia, you can still function and do things like even suing people, but suddenly a build up of anger is there along with recalling recent events incorrectly but fully believing it because that what your memory is telling you
That makes so much sense. He was so convinced of his story. What a shame. It sounds like they had a good relationship up to now. And the great granddaughter is the definition of grace.
yeah i was wondering abt dementia or something. it seems crazy to me that he is clearly mad at her for the arrest over something seemingly pretty minor esp if she was convicted while her siblings are allegedly bums who don’t work & left her to take care of her mother who died so unexpectedly. i don’t blame her for snapping with that stress even if it’s not right & it seems crazy to me to bring that up in court if he isnt holding some odd grudge against her. she seems very genuine & i guess it’s possible she’s some crazy convincing narcissist or something but the situation seems different than that idk
I work with people With dementia as well and I literally said the same thing, he has early onset… this is so sad, and as you know you can’t convince him otherwise.. truly a sad case
My husband always tell me when you give people money (especially in hard times) be very prepared to not see it again. Don't even ask for it back or declare it a loan - just give it to them if you have it. The ones that return and give it back on thier own, even if its years down the line, never forget those people, because those are your people.
This is so true and how I treat "loans" as well... don't give it if you're gonna be upset when you don't get it back. I once loaned my aunt 3k and she didn't pay me back, I never said anything or made a fuss about it but many many years later I was in a hard situation and guess who swooped in and saved the day? My aunt, and I didn't even have to ask! She knew what I did for her when she was struggling and in that moment, I needed the 3k much more than I did right after I gave it to her!
Every negative thing the plaintiff said about his great-grand daughter only made her look 100 times better. It's like magic. He needs to pray for forgiveness...
You don't know anything about either one of them - He could have very well been telling the truth and she could have been a very skilled liar and manipulator.
Imagine outliving your children and grandchildren with a sick wife at home, and instead of spending time with the ones left, you sue your great granddaughter for money that was probably spent to take care of your dead daughter when she was going through an illness.
Imagine that and then you give them money and they don't pay you back. Of course, I'm going to sue like if that's the case. I'm gonna put it like this if I gave my parents money knowing that I am struggling and they haven't done anything for me in life. I'm gonna be honest about it and I want my money back. I'm gonna sue them. I don't care if you're family or not. Honestly, I don't care if it's family, if I gave you money, I want it back. It should not matter every family or not because that makes it worse if we are family because you're going to treat me your family member like a stranger in a street when I just finished helping you. So yeah, I will sue if I had no other family around and that's the only one there, but you asked me for help and I did and you didn't pay me back. Yes, I will sue you, I don't care if I've had nobody. That's my life now.Hell, my mama was there if I could sue my mama?I would, if I consume my daddy, I would, and if I consume my grandmother, I definitely would
Grandpa was way too convicted in his feelings and beliefs for me to not believe him more - Great grandaughter gave me pathological/professional liar vibes, especially when she seemingly bluffed her way out of putting grandma on the phone, it just felt like she was mastering the art of manipulation with both grandpa and Judge Milian.
@Stressless2023 just because someone is convicted in their beliefs doesn't make it true. He doesn't have proof he gave money to the granddaughter or that she's the one that owes him the money.
He definitely has grief and misdirected anger...probably due to the grief and not wanting to actually grieve by continuing to fight with whomever he can. Granddaughter said he has to because I'm still here, still going to see, love and hug him.
The plaintiff is as mean as home-made sin and is an ungrateful jerk and a huge asshole to sue this young lady. I am so happy that both of my grandfathers were stand-up men and wonderful influences on my life.
I have deep respect for the great grand daughter bc thru out the case, the grandfather was throwing jabs at her and the defendant did not retaliate against him, even at the end she said she’s still going to see him and give him a hug. Hopefully the grandfathers heart will soften up before it’s too late ❤
He should have called the money he loaned the mom a loss, she's deceased! The great granddaughter has been through the wringer, poor woman. She seems resilient and I hope she finds happiness and peace in her life.
He buried all of his children and grandchildren, and instead of trying to nurture the relationship with his great-grandchildren, he wants to ruin it over money
Elderly ppl can be pieces of shit too and that man proves it. He stood there and lied all in the name of money. Dispicable person . I wish ppls court would’ve bought her mom a headstone
Misha you said it perfectly!!! For the granddaughter to state that she will love him in spite of his feelings towards her displays her character. Why die with ill will in your heart? He is too old for that!!!
I feel so bad for this girl and she has gone through enough and it’s bad enough her brothers didn’t help when it came to their mom when she passed. You can hear it in her voice how this is tearing her apart 😢
Shame on this old man Instead of protecting and helping his granddaughter he is suing her. What a doll she is despite the way he treats her. I love the judge- shes so heartfelt
That poor girl, you can tell she’s had to be the strong one her entire life for the whole family. She needs a hug and thank you, not to be sued by what family she has left. You can tell by her making excuses for grandad that she is a good human. I hope they open up their eyes and see what a treasure she truly is.
This pisses me off! I swear the people with big families, loving relatives take them for granted, but those with the biggest hearts that long for a family don't get that. This old man is so grumpy and unhappy, he doesnt deserve what he has.
Prayers to her. His attitude and stubbornness is a perfect example of why you can’t tell people how to be with their family. You never know how they’re being treated behind the scenes. Much respect and success to her for life 🙏🏾
My heart hurts for the dependent. Going thru the same thing with my mom. My brothers are 32 and 39 don’t do shit she relies on me for everything. I think losing his children has made him cold
What a wonderful person that granddaughter is. At the end when she said she will still go visit her great grandfather and give him a hug it spoke volumes about her character.
There’s no proof he loaned her money or the camera. Whether she’s lying or not, he can’t prove it. The who can make or break the case couldn’t come , write an affidavit or accept a phone call. The Judge can only work with what she has before her.
This is so sad. To the question, "Would you ever sue a relative?" I don't lend money money to family or friends that I am not willing to lose. If a family or friend borrows money from me, I lend it in hopes that they will pay me back, but I don't expect to get paid back. This way I will never have to sue them.
It’s really a shame that her sorry brothers don’t do anything at all to help her. She’s walking around with the weight of the entire family on her shoulders, while they lie around doing nothing.
Defendant is the only grandchild and great grandchild the plaintiff has left alive. This is very sad. Who would be so petty?! I wonder what happened behind the scenes to cause such anger to this man. At first I was hoping maybe it was dementia and he was confused and not just purposely lying and hurting his family. 😢
Grandpa is just that a great-grandpa. He is stuck in his ways and I believe the great granddaughter loves him and respects him. He seems confused on who he gave the money to. She is a hurting soul and non combative. My heart breaks for them all because family is just that family.
It’s unfortunate that, in this case, both sides seem quite compelling. It’s truly sad to see a family dynamic unravel over $800. However, because this ultimately came down to a “he said, she said” situation, the plaintiff (the grandfather) lost due to a lack of evidence showing he had paid the daughter money intended for her mother (the defendant). Many comments here may criticize and judge those involved, but I believe that's often done without a full understanding of the situation. As I’ve often said, we only see snippets and a glimpse of their dynamics in these proceedings, not the entire story. Personally, I can’t judge either side in this case, as there are so many layers that a 21-minute case simply can’t cover. It’s just a sad situation.
The old man is angry and he doesn’t have any money so he wants to sue that’s what it is turning out to look like. He’s sad and he wants someone to be responsible and it’s not the defendant’s fault at all. Poor girl has been through hell. 😢
I want to give the great-granddaughter a hug,
I came to write the same thing. My heart breaks for her. I wish these were not old episodes I would have loved to reach out and make a donation for her to be able to get a tunestone done for her mum. Plaintiff throwing up the defendants arrest spoke volumes. He was suing because he’s angry.
i hope i never get that bitter when I get old. seriously it's disgusting to watch.
They should have paid the man his money back! Nine hundred dollars is a lot of money to loan when you're on a fixed income!!!!
Plain and simple PAY THE MAN HIS MONEY BACK!
The great granddaughter’s testimony made me cry. She was so honest and has been through so much! God Bless her!! ❤❤❤
SHE NEEDS TO PAY THAT MAN BACK HIS MONEY!!!
I believe the old man
Got to be one of the saddest cases I have ever seen !!!
Totally heartbreaking. 💔
Yeah it was I have much respect for her. That in the hall comment was everything and really showed who she is at her core
So sad 😢
I'm in tears 😭
This one was really sad . There was another case that I always remember where two divorced parents fighting for the sons ashes .
This poor girl has been through the WRINGER! I feel so bad for her. Sounds like she’s the ONLY responsible one. And she’s STILL sweet to her no good family 🤦🏻♀️ I hope she’s doing better family wise.

This was the most impactful case I've seen on this show so far. That poor sweet young lady deserves the world.
This young Lady is the true example of what humanity should be about. Her resilience kept her heart safe of anger, and she is still able to express love with so much humility. So sad and so truly amazing.
Loved this case ! I love that the great grand daughter is determined to love her great grand dad.
Love when JM speaks spanish
she is awesome||

Totally agree with this .. early stages
Wow! That would make so much sense!
Grandma ain’t want to make her husband look bad
This breaks my heart, all of this...
How can you ask your great granddaughter for money when your grand child doesn’t have a tomb stone?
My husband always tell me when you give people money (especially in hard times) be very prepared to not see it again. Don't even ask for it back or declare it a loan - just give it to them if you have it. My daddy always says, "Don't loan something you're not comfortable not getting back." I give when I can, and I don't ask if I can't return it.
Overwhelming emotion here. I think his recollection may be cloudy. 🙏
I agree with you. I'm thinking he might have dementia 😢
Hugs to the Defendant… you can tell she has been through so much and still going through it because of her grandfather
Every negative thing the plaintiff said about his great-grand daughter only made her look 100 times better. It's like magic. He needs to pray for forgiveness...
You don't know anything about either one of them - He could have very well been telling the truth and she could have been a very skilled liar and manipulator.
Grampa wasting the courts time. This not worth it. Burying your kids and grandkids. Whew.
I wonder if he is in the early stages on dementia or some other mental issue
No more damn political commercials we can't take it anymore
💯
Clearly it’s over today
Amen!!!

I’m sitting here crying.. I feel so bad for her and I don’t even know this family!! Praying that they have some form of resolve! 😢
This case is sick and petty. This plaintiff shouldn’t have sued this poor girl over such a small amount with no proof.
He should have called the money he loaned the mom a loss, she's deceased! The great granddaughter has been through the wringer, poor woman. She seems resilient and I hope she finds happiness and peace in her life.

Her Grandfather was nice enough to give her 800$ no matter what she is going through she still needs to pay him back!
He is trash, you can’t give your dying grandchild some money.
My granddaughter just turned one and I would give my life for her.
Shame on this old man Instead of protecting and helping his granddaughter he is suing her. What a doll she is despite the way he treats her. I love the judge- shes so heartfelt
This case literally brought tears to my eyes. I hate that this young lady had to endure all of this.
The defendant was raised spectacularly! Wow. Amazing soul.
What a hateful old man. 😢

😢😢😢 absolutely heartbreaking 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 for the family!!
Grandpa is just trying to get his money back by hook or crook.

amazing woman.
I wish Judge Milan had given the defendant more words of praise, encouragement and affirmation. What a sad case 😢
I wanted to see a close up of the Michael Jackson portrait 😊

Dude is legit lying to get his money back because the person that owed it died...... Grandpa is TRASH.
What a wonderful person that granddaughter is. At the end when she said she will still go visit her great grandfather and give him a hug it spoke volumes about her character.
She has the camera. The camera didn't grow legs and walk off. I caught this woman in SO many lies.
There’s no proof he loaned her money or the camera. Whether she’s lying or not, he can’t prove it. The who can make or break the case couldn’t come , write an affidavit or accept a phone call. The Judge can only work with what she has before her.

This was such a sad case. I was so hoping the judge would give the defendant a good hug at the end. I could just feel how badly she needed it. 😕
this grandfather should be ashamed of himself.. and talking about her arrest just to make her look bad in front of everybody
Defendant is the only grandchild and great grandchild the plaintiff has left alive. This is very sad. Who would be so petty?! I wonder what happened behind the scenes to cause such anger to this man. I cried - I feel so bad for her. She didn’t deserve this and she’s very kind.
Grandpa is shit. I hope this girl gets through this difficult point in her life.
Hes suing her because the mother died and she's the only one who has finances.
i love when judge milian speaks spanish
first she said great granddaughter then at the end she was saying granddaughter...I believe the old man
Poor girl 😔
Great granddaughter has spoken so wisely to wrap up this case. Her heart felt words inspire me to love better ❤️
Grown men getting up everyday and do nothing. Unbelievable
Grandpa is angry and bitter. If he still alive I hope he changed
He’s so stubborn
It's always "the principal."
He is Always right and alone soon, poor old man.
this is so sad! God Bless Her!
