So what if the gauge shows half tank when key is off, and its empty. When i add fill it up to full arounf 2 gallon it stays full when keys off and when i turn it back on iy siws the same thing, gas gauge goes down slowly when i drive it.
Awesome video! Just replaced the old circuit behind the cluster and all gauges but Temp went over the maximum! Can't imagine what could it be. Any thoughts? Already suscribed and following ✌🏽😎
Mine is only reading 3/4 when full what would be the issue? I just put in a new printed circuit board from eBay could this be effecting it? And is there a way to adjust it?
But if C31 is sperated for that resistance test, wouldn't that give you zero ohm regardless of the fuel level? (If it's "ok") The gauge is what has the resistor, i think.
@@YoshimoshiGarage my 150 scooter gauge doesn't work I've tried 2 gauges one led worked when hooking it up then died. Chinese garage.?!! I'll check the sensor it's pissing me off. Thanks for your time if you can help. 👍😀
Lucky break! Just dirty contacts? Need to pull my 91 cluster out, as the only thing that works properly is the clock. Fuel gauge reads accurately, until you turn the engine on, then it jumps up 1/4 tank higher. The oil pressure, engine temp do nothing, and the voltmeter needle constantly vibrates at +/- 14 volts. Hopefully a good dose of contact cleaner will have the lucky result you got.
Some progress made, after cleaning all four gauge contacts. All the gauges now have 'life'. But... the fuel gauge still jumps up by 1/4 tank when the engine is on. the temp gauge only reaches the first small line, the oil pressure gauge jumps to just below 60. But the volt meter has stopped 'vibrating' and stays steady, just above 14v. Next step, to check the oil pressure and temp sensors on the engine?
Check the sensors right at their terminals. It could also be the wires running from the terminals to the gauges-the bulkhead in the firewall being the most likely culprit
your clock works.. I'll be dipped! They have new circuit plastic boards for trhe ones with clocks only for babout 10 to 15 bucks.. Have never been able to get my clock to work,
@@YoshimoshiGarage mine was like that. I got a new sending unit and now it works fine. My speedometer bounced, My fuel bounces. RPM and Oil pressure work well. Clock nothing and I got a new circuit plastic board..lol The sending unit is down by the 5 and 6 spark plugs. U might have known but if not. Screw a new one in there. Good vid btw.
Very informative! I like the way you described everything you did.
A straight up 100% score for a video that teaches AND explains!! Love it! Thanks!! Subscribed!!
We need more beeps! I’m sure those are to come as you are working on that old dodge. Trust me I know as I have a 78 truck 😂😂😂
Thank you so much from Italy.
Thanks for this awesome information

Exactly what I needed. Thanks
Mine gauge won’t drop below 3/4s of a tank goes to full when you fill it up what would cause this
Lower resistance makes the level higher, so it's probably shorting to ground somewhere. I'd start with checking the wire.
Is your oil pressure gauge high like that all the time? Mine is the same just checking if this is normal
It is always like that, but it's not normal. It's another item to be fixed

I would guess a bad ground
@@YoshimoshiGarage tks! I'll check it out. Have a good day mate ✌🏽

Check the wire all the way back. It could be the wire or the sender in the tank.

Did you get the replacement bulbs on Amazon?
Yes. 198 bulb replacement LEDs

Solved it! Thx for the help.

Of course now my oil pressure is pegged to the right. I think the only thing in the cluster I trust is the clock.

Why would you want to do that? You had a tank that was never going to be empty, and now you messed that up. Gah!
I needed to get more video with beeps up!
Yeah. It has been pretty beepless lately.
