Great video. I actually shared this with my daughter who is married to Marine and gave her your website.
I do have at least one.
Rather than buy the stuff you dip your fish in use mayonnaise and a little pickle relish.
Another I will do a roast in the instant pot. When it is done I will take plain noodles and continue the cooking until the noodles are done. This makes a great side dish.
Sad my mom was born in 31 she only had biscuits n onions for lunch ty God she gave me everything
I love how there was always protein of some sort in these meal.
I have so many t make to cut my grocery budget. Loved this video. Thank you!

I grew up in Ohio. My mom hated peanut butter and never really purchased it until we went to school and told our mom we really liked this "new" food school served us. Lol! It was not with pickles, but once peanut butter was in the house, that was my dad's favorite way to eat it.
It’s odd but my mom once found The Poorman’s Sandwich on Allrecipes. It’s peanut butter, Miracle Whip, onion and pickle (my mom uses Claussen sandwich stackers). They are sooooooo good. I know. It sounds awful but it’s soooooo good.
That restaurants would charge more than 100 percent, the cost of ingredients is outrageous. This is why I seldom bother with restaurant any more.
My mother’s family of 13 kids took bacon grease sandwiches for their school lunches!
Great video
Recipes are clever, but some of the "1930's" pictures are from the t960's.
I might as well watch this since it’s basically the Great Depression now 🙄
Not yet got a month or two before it starts
24:59 I never ate this as a sandwich, but I’ve eaten plenty of carrot-raisin salad.
At 2:15, those are pork rinds, not cheese rinds! In fact, throughout the video, the video does not match the items being discussed.
Where can I find the actual recipes?
i hope you will find it on Google
I hope you will accept this as constructive criticism. Excellent info but your narration is too repetitive. I am a subscriber and look forward to your next video!
👍🏼✌😊
I really appreciate all constructive and respectful feedback. It’s the kind of advice that helps me see where I can improve and make the content even better. My goal is to give you the best experience possible, and your input is invaluable in making that happen
That's a complaint I have as well, I would rather listen to someone not another narrative video, love the tips but have to hear a actual human voice. Not a recorded what sounds like AI
29:01 As tasty as many of the meatless sandwiches probably were that weren’t supplying and source of protein.
Cheese is protein, drippings same, eggs, oatmeal, milk, beans. I grew up farm. Please look up a protein chart. Most of our meat eats plants to grow protein. Consider the implications.
It was either these foods or nothing. At least some food gave some level of nutrition.
Beans + grain (bread) = protein
