Thanks for this - I just needed to do it. When I tried it, it didn't work, because the car is 10 years old and the contacts had oxidised a bit. I just screwed the bulb back and forth a bit in the socket to seat the contacts. Probably, I would have done better to burnish the contacts with a bit of fine emery paper - but hey - it works.
Hey there! I have a burnt out bulb on the same tail light and after I changed it, it burned out again a day later. I'm going to change it again but any tips why this might be occurring? Most Xsara Picassos I've seen have the same stop light burnt out.

I actually found the problem that it just needs a good ol' slap on the light to get it working. But not quite sure why it does that
