I discuss some of the recent improvements we have made to our home, and I talk about the practical challenges, as well as the spiritual elements to such a lifestyle as well as how this type of experience will becoming increasingly critical and relevant in light of deteriorating circumstances in the world. 1 В деревнях обычно есть общественный колодец или водонапорная башня в шаговой доступности. У нас даже в городе есть резервные колонки для набора воды , на случай непредвиденных перебоев с водой.
Но сейчас обычно делают свой колодец (если объем потребления воды больше тонны) или скважину если объем потребления не большой.
Россия - это оплот правды! Любите Россию и она как мама будет оберегать и любить Вас, может сначала будут трудности, но вы всё преодолеете! Живите с миром и с любовью с Богом. Счастья Вам и вашим деткам.

Happiest time of my life was when I was in the village -25 degrees outside in a one room dacha in Ivanovo region with wife two kids mother in law dog and two cats. You realise what true happiness is. True freedom and never felt more close to my family and God. Nice to see I'm not the only westerner here! Good luck!

What it’s like to live in Russia can only be accurately assessed by a Russian who has left and lived, for example, in America or Europe. Upon returning, he understands that he left in vain and only lost time and nerves, but he UNDERSTANDS that it’s better to live in Russia now than in the rest of the world. face-blue-smiling . And as for luxury - even in any Russian village, in any family there is a WASHING MACHINE, for Russia - this is the norm. Therefore, for Russians it is strange to see how in the West they carry their things to specially designated places for washing and sit there in line to wash.
Russians returning back home and sharing their stories and experiences is a big thing since two or three years on Russian YT. Watching many of them and it is scary how relatable most things they tell sounds to me 😮

Да, в деревенских домах традиционно было минимум удобств, и описание быта в них может оттолкнуть живущих в более цивилизованных условиях. Но сейчас не обязательно жить именно так, и вполне можно сделать в деревенском доме множество привычных городских удобств: водопровод (пробурив артезианскую скважину), канализацию (со сливами, душами, унитазами, и септиком), водяное отопление (если конечно можно подвести газ, или не жалко платить за привозной газ/мазут). Просто это всё в большинстве случаев стоит денег и усилий на установку и на поддержку, а людям бывает лень заниматься, да и так бывает всё устраивает. Тем более, что более простые решения более надёжны (представьте себе внезапно замёрзшую зимой в -30 канализацию, это же катастрофа; а сортир работает всегда)
К 35м2 избе также при желании пристраивают второй этаж и помещения сбоку, сильно увеличивая жилую площадь, просто опять-таки на это нужны деньги, это намного более сложное инженерное сооружение чем одноуровневая изба, и не всем это нужно. И отапливать это всё зимой становится заметно сложнее.
В общем, мой пойнт в том, что весь этот отсталый деревенский быт при необходимости вполне можно заменить на более чем современный.

Technicality, but still. Dacha is not a type of a house, dacha is just summer house of any kind that's not used as your primary. Dachas can be anything from a shed to a three storie mansion, it's defined by how you use it and also some legal definition. What you're talking about is traditional Russian house - izba.
Thank you for the comment! Thank you for educating me! The names of certain things has tripped me up a few times, you are correct. Dacha was the word I kept hearing used in the area but you are correct. It is a traditional Russian house.
Yes, that's common in older village houses. Water is brought into the house in buckets from a well. But, of course, that's not the norm. Some people have water connected to their old house, while others use a banya for bathing. When I was a kid I sometimes spent summers in a village. In the house where I stayed, there was no running water, so we would bring it from a nearby well. We used a special basin for washing our hands or face in the morning, and when it was time to bathe, the large stove in the house would be heated to warm up the water.
I never really found it harsh, difficult, or inconvenient when I had to deal with that, even though I was already 14 years old and had lived my whole life in well-accommodated places.
Just finished watching your video, and yeah, the Russian name for that large stove I mentioned earlier is *Pechka* (печка).

You and your wife are brave to buy a house without running water, sewer, and other amenities. Even among Russians there would be few people willing to live in such a house. If I were you, I would prefer to buy a house that has everything: sewerage, running water, gas, electricity and heating. Why do you need these problems? All the more, as I understand it, you have the money.

Если Вы уже решили жить в этом доме постоянно и у Вас есть там электроэнергия, то сделайте септик (можно сделать самостоятельно из колодезных колец или купить готовый) или купите ЛОС типа "Топаз" (Локальная Очистная Система) с учетом размера вашей семьи берите проект на 12-15 человек. Для септика даже электричество не надо. Для ЛОС примерно 150 Ват расход постоянно. Воду после септика или ЛОС можно сливать на грунт (в канаву или для полива). И пробурите скважину или выкопайте достаточно глубокий колодец и поставьте насос с накопительным баком в доме. Трубы уберите под землю. Если Вы живете постоянно, и если всё сделать правильно, то септик и скважина не замерзнут даже в -30. Это будет стоить Вам не очень дорого, но сделает Вашу жизнь ГОРАЗДО комфортнее! В России много компаний, кто этим занимается профессионально.
interesting. im fully agnostic, but i do think it is a huge bless and luck that such ppl move to my country. When i have a choince of woke/LGBT ideology vs traditional values - of course i chose second. And I hop Russia will collect all such families from the west. We all deserve to live in a "normal" country with traditional values. Thank u for your thoughts and thank you for chosing ur futurei with Russia. The only one question, why such a stereotype music and videos at the end of each episode?) come on, we are not THAT old school)
As i said on the other channel. There is a reason why we don't think of Europe, America etc. and what they think about our lifestyle. We have too many things to think about like what to eat today, what weather will be during the summer and how to grow plants, how to deal with snow in winter and flood in spring. These are questions about the basic survival. Put any politician in Siberia or Taiga and I m sure they even won't be able to think about other nations and their problems.
Many old Norwegian cottages also don't have running water, electricity or toilets inside and many people don't install them for two reasons: it would cost a fortune and they are not permanent residences for weekends or short stays! It is not allowed by law to live in cottages all year round here.
How are living without a Registration at a Dacha option? Or is it a village wooden cottage house? Have u watched "Chantelle Hare" youtube channel? They faced troubles, maybe u can share your experience of living in Russia with them... Maybe u can help them :) But if you yourself are in staying in Russia illegally (without Registration in police office)... you are one more family needed help, in this case...
Thank you for the comment, you are correct about the Dacha term, reading some of the comments I realize this now - we heard the word Dacha for months and so I used that word to describe our house. Turns out we have an "Izba" (or regular "dom") or village house. We registered without issue and as is the custom the authorities came to check everything out around the time we received residency.
