Ooo I can relate with the shopping therapy ❤ love your advents. So nice you can spend so much time with your Grandson, and he lives so close! I machine wash all my superwash socks in cold/warm water. Then I just hngghem on a dryer rack. Take care 😊
Love the pumpkin bag. It's so cute. I wouldn't stress about the amount of yarn you have. You did really good this year trying to keep it low. It's the holidays so it's time to treat yourself. And like you said, you can always start over again next year.
Your Incredible Blanket is so good! I love it!!! I had to take a break from mine so I can finish my Mabel sweater before the end of the month. I foresee more knitting on it during advent. Really looking forward to it. You're not the only one who went overboard on advents but they are just so fun and hard to resist. I'm hoping next year to maybe buy one and knit an old one...but we'll see. Best made plans and all.
Oops! I bought another advent last night. At least it's only 1 skein.....I still haven't fixed my Incredible blanket. Instead a cast on some Christmas socks....
I always wash my handknit socks in the washing machine on regular/cold then hang dry. I do still use a wool wash & always include a color catcher but so far have had no issues over the last 2 years. So sorry you have been struggling. Grandkid therapy is the best!
On the Oslo hat. I don't remember exactly where I would end when I did the ponytail hole at the crown... but, I would do a stretchy bind off if you can. I always had an easier time getting my hair through a hole that was stretchy vs not.
Ugh. I wish I'd seen this before I bound off. Oh, well, if it doesn't work with the I-cord bind off, I'll use redo it after she tries it on. It's for my daughter-in-law, so she knows where to find me if any adjustments are needed.
Throne of Glass! I started reading it but gave up. I just can't get into her books, I'm not sure why. I love the Bluegrass Shawl though. I know you don't want to get the Hedgehog Fiber minis, but maybe you could use one of your previous advent calendars on it? I think it would be a great pattern to use those on. I don't know if I've used Hedgehog Fiber before. I think I have for some crochet granny squares, because the colors I had were neutrals. As for Shubui - Madtosh is selling it now 🙂. I don't know what part of my brain stored that information, but I must have read it on Madeline Tosh's newsletter at one point. Your Halloween bag is adorable. Congratulations on winning! I hope you have a great week!
Oh, now I'm going to have to look at Madtosh for more Shibui... I was just considering using some advents for the Bluegrass Shawl. I don't wear shawls but that one is so big I could use it as a lap blanket at my desk. I've used Hedgehog Fiber a few times. It's beautiful yarn, but pricey.

Thank you, Alice. I need to put a stop to the retail therapy before I run out of storage room again!

It's just the Halloween bag I needed! I'm not too stressed about the amount of yarn I've bought. It could have been so much worse....
Congrats on all the wins. I bought myself a Halloween bag and used it most of the year! 😂.
Good to see you!
Thank you, Karen. I hope you're still having a grand time on your vacation!

That is the best tea ever! Glad you liked the bag
It was really good tea! I might have to get more....
@ that’s a great idea!

I just threw it in with a Tide pod and it seemed to work fine. I should add color catchers, though.
Love your Halloween bag and the yarn is fabulous 💚💜🖤🤍.
I should be working on my MKAL but have cast a sock on 😂 xx
Yes, Amber makes adorable bags! I highly recommend visiting her shop online.
@ I would love too but I’m being a good girl at the moment 🤭 xx
