Your pieces of work are so perfect. I'd never imagine to be such a fan of a knitter 😅, but this is amazing. Thanks Norman, you rock! I'll try this for my net project since seems to be quicker and a bit easier than the one I'm currently using. 😊
I like the non twisted version found it perfect for garter stitch it looks the same on each side of your work and the matching behind off too(which i did with needles but found would be easier with hook). Not sure the bind off would look as close the the cast on when using ng the twisted though. Honestly there are many variations of this cast on. Thie is the true version. Which doesn't look like the chains are twisted, like when done with another variation and a step is skipped when doing this cast on with a crochet hook. I believe all variations are beneficial depending on the project
I'll try to do this cast-on with a crochet hook, but since I usually hold my yarn in the right hand, it makes it esay to knit this cast-on. Thanks for offering this alternative. I'd be curious to see how stretchy this cast on is compared to the orhters you presented last week.
Thank you Norman for this video. I heard there is a twisted chain purl cast on and a twisted chain cast off. I would really like it if you could teach us these too (that is, if they really exist). ❤. Eva
well, there are many names for different techniques and it can often be a bit confusing. Typically iwhat you are looking for is called double chain bind-off/cast-off
Very nice! 👍👍 Thank your sharing, especially the slo-mo view and the stitch anatomy. ☺️
For me the best tut out there. Slow motion is very important for me. Explanation is perfect. Thanks.
I love learning something new. Thank you.
Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing Norman.😊
Many thanks!
Beautiful! Great idea, Norman. ♥ 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘

I agree with you about the name. When I first heard about it I thought it was a joke.
Very good ❤

it's only medium stretchy for me.
And yes, this is easier if you tension your yarn in the right hand :)

I’ve also heard this CO referred to recently as “double chain CO” - appears like 2 chains going in opposite directions.
yes. I think that is based on the assumptions that you are doing a double crochet chain (but you don't).
Which one is more stretchy, this one or the crochet cast-on?
there you go: th-cam.com/video/UVQh82a943Y/w-d-xo.html
I use this cast on quite frequently, but I can never get it to look seamless in the round.
hm...well you have to graft one stitch. But i didn'T show it in this video >.
